Buffistas Building a Better Board ++
Do you have problems, concerns, or recommendations about the technical side of the Phoenix? Air them here. Compliments also welcome.
No, but I think Allyson did.
But if anyone can text Gud, that would be so helpful.
I don't know what to do, dcp. Please feel free to email or text Gud and ask him to let in the Buffistas.
"...let in the Buffistas" is kinda vague. He's going to need details. Email him what you have, and cc the admins.
Backup plan: check with beekaytee first, but if you are confident in the identities, you can send the Zoom link to them yourself.
If Buffistas can't log in they need to click the forgot password link and they will get an email to reset. If they don't remember what email they used on the board they can message me and I can look it up. I don't see any method to reset a password on the admin side or generate that email.
Hmmm.... I'm not set up to make code changes on the board real quick at the moment. I can start setting up to do so. I'm a bit strapped for time with the new job, working on a new site for my wife, and doing some work on the house.
I would like to set myself up though. I've wanted to make a few minor changes. I had thought about migrating the site to Spring (my bread and butter) but I think that is just too much work so I'm hoping to just move to a newer version of Ruby on Rails.
Don't suppose there are any other Rails people in the house? Calling myself a Rails person is a bit of a stretch.
FYI: I just got the following email from Google; I may not be the only one who got it, as I suspect the original stompies would have all had access to the referenced blog - it did remind me for the first time in forever that at one point we were using the buffistas.info domain to point to a blog where we could post updates in case of board outages etc, back when we had a much bigger problem with that happening.
We no longer have the domain (or at least, it's no longer pointing anywhere), and we've long since defaulted to using the FB group for "is it just me or is the board down" check-ins. I don't think there would be any content there that would be worth rescuing, or any action we need to take other than just letting the blogger account expire. But I did want to let everyone know!

Whoops, wrong thread. Nothing to see here. Move it along.
