Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

What do you mean by folder message center?

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

Message Center -> TV Folder -> Veronica Mars -> Message Center lather, rinse, repeat.

I don't understand this. The Message Center doesn't have folders.

If I only had a brain...

That's the point. When I finish reading a thread, I always click Message Center. Now that bounces me back two levels (out of the folder and into the center) instead of one.

I'd like to have something like the Message Center that bops me back to the thread-display level of the current folder rather than bopping me back to root.

It never bounced you back any number of levels -- the message centre is level free.

What you seem to want is to be returned to the parent folder of the thread you're reading. Is that accurate?

Up with the sun

But if the idea of the TV folder was to neaten the home page, wouldn't a reading and writing folder help accomplish that goal?

This is how I feel as well, but I understand if it's a no-go.

Precisely. Thanks.

No, we did. You might not have noticed them, but not only has the code been in place for months, there's been a folder for months too. Threads in the Closed folder showed up in the flat message centre just like ones at the root.

Some sort of indication that a folder has unread messages/threads in it would be nice.

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

I'm not sure how much use that would be if you're not subscribed to all the threads in the folder.

I've been experimenting with that, Tom. I'm still not sure of the specific approach, and the potential hit to the speed of the page loads. Still playing.
