No. The sites aren't connected in any way.

Do you have problems, concerns, or recommendations about the technical side of the Phoenix? Air them here. Compliments also welcome.
I should also mention, that anything you do right now on the test site will not carry over to the actual new site.
Made a tweak so that you don't just get the last post when you post a new message.
Gudanov, is there anything I should do to get back on the git? Being able to take a simple issue here or there might be good for my soul. And I have the linux subsystem for windows installed now so ruby on rails is less of a hassle than before.
I think you should have access to both borg2 (the new board) and borg-legacy (converting the old static content) projects on gitlab. There's a lot of work to be done fixing up the html and links in borg-legacy.
Cool I'll try to get in and get it synced to my computer.
FYI!
Hi, DreamHoster!
This is a reminder that the operating system upgrade we emailed you about a few weeks ago is kicking off in one week! We've included the original email below in case you'd like to double-check that you're ready to go.
Debian is an operating system that powers a huge chunk of DreamHost. And, like any operating systems, they receive regular updates to fix bugs, improve stability, and add features.
We will be upgrading your Virtual Private Server from version Ubuntu 14 (also known as Trusty) to Debian 10 (aka Stretch!)
Server: ps189917 Date of upgrade: November 04, 2020 Maintenance Window: 6:00pm-10:00pm Pacific Time Expected downtime: 20 minutes
You may notice that your sites become unreachable for about 5 minutes while we perform the upgrade. Don't worry - this is normal!
As is the case with any OS upgrade, there could be some environment changes that may affect you, and now is a great time to start preparing for that.
We strongly recommend reading through the page below to help prepare yourself for this coming upgrade, /especially/ if you are using Ruby, Python, or run a site that relies heavily on specific server packages:
We'll email you again the day of the upgrade, and again once we've completed the process.
If you've got any questions about any of this, just reply to this email and let us know how we can help. We're standing by to assist with any questions or concerns.
Thanks very much for your patience while we work hard to modernize our fleet of servers and bring you the absolute best performance possible!

I think it's time.
Like the Cylons, I have a plan. Unlike the Cylons, I actually do have a plan.
1. Announce that after a certain time (thinking Satdurday evening) messages posted on the current board will not be transferred to the new board.
2. I can make a webpage redirecting people to www.buffistas.me for www.buffistas.org
2. I can download all the data from the current board and load it into the new board.
3. You can update the DNS settings for the buffistas.org.
4. I'll direct buffistas.org to the redirecting web page. At this point the board should be useable.
5. I'll get a certificate for buffistas.org.
6. I'll make buffistas.org the address for the board and get make a page redirecting people from www.buffistas.me to www.buffsitas.org
7. Slowly restore the static pages
No idea how I could help, but if I can help...
