I would agree. I think I try to help rewrite the FAQ's 15 years ago and it made my head explode!

Do you have problems, concerns, or recommendations about the technical side of the Phoenix? Air them here. Compliments also welcome.
Yes -- act normal, it's fine. We have inside jokes, who doesn't. The end.
The registration hasn't worked for years so we haven't had any new members.
That will be fixed with the move (or whatever you call this), right? So possible influx of new people. But it doesn't seem likely that it would be a whole lot of new people who don't already know anyone.
Do we have our process for handling bad behavior outlined somewhere handy - that in thread call out, etc through to being blocked or whatever (how nice that we haven't needed it for long enough that my memory is this vague!) - not to have new people get pointed to it immediately but just to have available if it is needed
Wow the punctuation of that really got away from me. Sorry
I expect any new people would be friends of ours we invite because they belong. I expect bad behavior, should any occur, would be stomped quickly. The Site etiquette link covers it, but we aren't going to have any hesitation to point out that this is the safe corner of the internet!
I cannot even imagine a scenario that would bring in an influx of people. There is too much internet now.
Yeah, I'm imagining that new people would just be people existing members sucked in.
Though, y'know, it's the internet. One can never know when a board or a person will become a subject of interest to one of the internet's cesspools. And in these cases, rare as they might be, an option to quickly block an influx of people might come in handy.
Point.
I'm planning to start working on porting over the static content as-is as legacy content and then perhaps making some new pages with stuff that doesn't seem dated.
