A year and a half ago, I could have eviscerated him with my thoughts. Now I can barely hurt his feelings. Things used to be so much simpler.

Hey. New board.

I think the links on the post header should probably be links instead of buttons.

Agreed. Like in the current board.

I figured out how to do ruby-on-rails development on Windows without using a full VM (running rails entirely within a docker container) so I may be able to help out again with the project soon, especially little tweaks like these. Remind me what I need to do to get access back?

Just let me know your Gitlab id.

Hey. New board.

Apparently it is my profile addy. But without the random capital letter that is weirdly in my profile addy.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Hello there!
On May 28th, between 4:00pm and 7:00pm PST, we will be performing a few upgrades on your shared MySQL server, 'carvingknife'.

We expect the process to take up to 1 hour total, and once this has completed, your MySQL server will be running Ubuntu Bionic.

You may notice that your MySQL databases are unreachable for brief periods, or your website may behave unexpectedly while we complete the upgrade. This is normal, and your sites and databases will be back online as soon as the upgrade is complete!

If you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to contact support: >[link]

Thanks!

Sometime in July Dreamhost will be upgrading its hosting servers from Ubuntu 14.04 to Ubuntu 18.04. It seems like there's a chance this will break everything. Just FYI.

Are we ready to jump to the shiny new board 2.0? Would that fix it?

There would be some DNS and certificate work, but yes. The upgrade might not break everything, it just seems possible.

Hm. I don't know if this is something we need to have a vote on or what, but given all the improvements you've made and how many issues our current site has, I wonder if it might be time.

Well, if dreamhost changes do break everything, it'll probably be time. It would be good for me to make a few improvements and bump up the versions on everything first. The most important improvement on the beta site is security.
