Oh, right! I need to check and see if I can actually log in now, huh?

Buffistas Building a Better Board ++
Do you have problems, concerns, or recommendations about the technical side of the Phoenix? Air them here. Compliments also welcome.
The beta board beta.buffistas.me seems to be looking pretty good.
Probably could use some testing still, but I think we could start talking about a switchover. Issues that need to be fixed are going to be more minor than the issues it addresses (security, responsive design, and registration).
It is looking good! I just played around on my phone and only found a couple of little issues. The Mark and Block buttons feel very big (I accidentally blocked twice just scrolling) and new lines don't seem preserved for my "About me" in the profile so my list of old tags looks a humble. But those are pretty tiny!
Sounds like 'About Me' isn't going through the filter to transform the text into html. I think the links on the post header should probably be links instead of buttons.

Agreed. Like in the current board.
I figured out how to do ruby-on-rails development on Windows without using a full VM (running rails entirely within a docker container) so I may be able to help out again with the project soon, especially little tweaks like these. Remind me what I need to do to get access back?
Just let me know your Gitlab id.
Apparently it is my profile addy. But without the random capital letter that is weirdly in my profile addy.
Oh sorry, that's not the id. Apparently the ID is NovaChild ?
Hello there!
On May 28th, between 4:00pm and 7:00pm PST, we will be performing a few upgrades on your shared MySQL server, 'carvingknife'.
We expect the process to take up to 1 hour total, and once this has completed, your MySQL server will be running Ubuntu Bionic.
You may notice that your MySQL databases are unreachable for brief periods, or your website may behave unexpectedly while we complete the upgrade. This is normal, and your sites and databases will be back online as soon as the upgrade is complete!
If you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to contact support: >[link]
Thanks! The Happy DreamHost MySQL Upgrading Robot
Sometime in July Dreamhost will be upgrading its hosting servers from Ubuntu 14.04 to Ubuntu 18.04. It seems like there's a chance this will break everything. Just FYI.
