We should certainly archive the FAQ but are there really any questions common enough for a FAQ at this point? Do we get new visitors who would refer to a FAQ?
edit: Although now that I looked at again and noticed the "Last Updated: 5.10.2008" I think it's perfect.
I am still vaguely annoyed by trying to update the faq in probably 2007. Trying to get everyone to agree was impossible.
Instead of a FAQ, could we make some kind of Wiki? History, a memorial section, brief glossary, link to Buffistas willing to be found, etc?
I have to say that while reading Gud's posts in this thread, I hear the Charlie Brown teacher. Cause I don't get it at all.
What I do get, however, is the tremendous amount of work that Gud is doing, and I want to say how grateful I am. I am so busy these days that I don't get to the board nearly as often as I used to (I weep for the days when it was just an open tab on my browser throughout the day)
I love that the board is still here, and I am so thankful to all of you who keep it running.
In terms of the FAQ, I think I will go ahead and copy it over and just put a "Preserved for historical interest" disclaimer at the top. Certainly a discussion about adding a wiki or other alternative makes sense I think, but 5hat sounds like perhaps a later goal.
I've been sidelined with another project and I'm traveling the next two weeks so I'll probably be a bit scarce for awhile.
Realized I hadn't updated the beta board in awhile. It know allows blocking users, adds Read New support, and some other stuff.
Hello! It's been so long since I needed my password, I've completely forgotten, but I have a new phone that wants it. Help? Profile address is fine. Thanks!
Got it, thank you! Just FYI, the board wouldn't let me log out on my laptop, but I logged on on my cell with the password you sent.
