Okay, WEIRD. You're not one of the three Buffistas I knew worked there. Why do so many of us?
Anyway, this time it took! I have no idea if saying alt.net=b.org made a difference, but now I'm getting this:
Status of the latest badware review for this site: A review for this site has finished. The site was found clean. The badware warnings from web search are being removed. Please note that it can take some time for this change to propagate.
under the malware warning
I really don't like how hard Google works to keep me safe--I can't work out if I can get to an images result page (where they show you the image on top of the page?) for a page they deem infected. They print the URL, but there doesn't seem to be an option for "Yeah, I know, I'm gonna bareback it anyway, do what you'd normally do."
Why do so many of us?
Because the food is so good. Well, that's my reason anyway.
And the transfat-free Its Its!
Does that make Google our biggest Buffista employer, more than Microsoft or JPL?
I suspect the biggest employer is the United States...

BTW, I think the no-malware notice has finally propogated: the alt site is off the blacklist.
You were still having problems when I posted in Press?
Yes. I couldn't get in yesterday.
Wait--it stops you from getting in? Chrome had originally warned me, but I swear it still let me go in.
That's kinda sketch.
But Chrome wasn't giving me any error messages before I made that post--that's why I made it. Rob, do you have any idea where that blacklist would need to propagate to, and why it would entirely prevent someone from overriding it?
I really don't think a web browser should be there to tell you where you can and can't go. Giving you warnings so you can make your decisions is fine, but Netnannying? That's too intrusive to my experience.
Wait--it stops you from getting in?
The Google warning was picked up by commercial webfiltering companies, among which was the webnanny used by my employers. So I was unable to get into the alt site while at work.
