Faith: A kid. Angel's got a kid. Wesley: Connor. Faith: A teenage kid born last year. Wesley: I told you, he grew up in a hell dimension. Faith: Right. And what, Cordelia spent her last summer as… Wesley: A divine being. Faith: Uh-huh. Can I just ask--What the hell are you people doing?

I bring it up because I got spoiled for FNL in an oblique way (and a long-term one, as I am not currently caught up on the show, but plan to watch on DVD) in Natter. It took me reading several posts to even realize what people were talking about was originally whitefonted.

(See above re: sometimes I'm kind of slow.)

Only threadsuck stuff when I'm looking for a specific post, so I grab the thread then use Find to find the relevant phrase.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

If there are people who want it the way it is, things become more complicated.

I'm going to leave the question open for a bit, since threadsuckers aren't necessarily around a lot.

I have been spoiled before, but I've gotten progressively less spoiler averse since joining the board... and, frankly, the aging that's happened since then, because I forget shit all the damn time anyway.

So, I would not object if we changed it so that white font actually stayed whitefont (or didn't change it). But it would definitely still work for me if you did change it so that white font stayed white font.

I don't thread suck often enough to really have a horse in the race, though.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

I suck rarely and do it like connie does -- to track down something I sortakinda remember, not as my primary thread reading.

I usually only threadsuck Natter and Bitches, when I get quite a bit behind and don't want to keep clicking through to the next page every thirty posts.

It probably matters less in the TV-oriented threads, since those are often NAFDA, but if the topic being discussed in Lightbulbs turns into a vote that ends up pushing more TV discussion into Natter, it might become more important to some people.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

I would prefer whitefont to remain whitefont in a threadsuck, but I normally only threadsuck Bitches, where that's not really relevant. And I usually only use threadsuck for finding stuff. But I would not expect whitefont to become blackfont during a suck.

The few times I've threadsucked, it's more to catch up/skim on large bunches when I've been gone or am behind, and dont' feel like hitting "next" a bunch. I'm more likely to do that in fast moving threads, but sometimes in threads where I've just gotten way behind (like a TV thread where I've caught up on a bunch of eps, but in that case whitefont isn't as much an issue generally).

I'd love if there were some ability to keep the whitefont, or indicate at least that it WAS whitefont (so if I'm skimming I can skim over it, or at least make a little sense in my catching up).

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Yeah, I use it from time to time, but it doesn't much matter to me either way.

Calli: My people have a saying. A man who trusts can never be betrayed, only mistaken.Avon: Life expectancy among your people must be extremely short.

The context in which I use threadsuck make whitefont/no whitefont irrelevant. In other words, as far as I'm concerned to it either way.
