Do you have problems, concerns, or recommendations about the technical side of the Phoenix? Air them here. Compliments also welcome.

I'd put Tech in community as a community service thread.
They're all sorta that, though, aren't they? I'm not feeling a need (or seeing the pros) to categorising everything. Media and not-media works for me, with not-media on the front page.
Bon, let me check on that for you.

Yeah, but Tech gets far more posts that start out "Can someone help me?" than probably any other thread except When Come Back.

I think it will be sloppy if we don't, and if we still have a huge list, and just separate out the few TV threads we have, it's not going to make anything that much easier to find on the main page, imo.

If you categorise everything, there's nothing interesting on the front page. I think that doesn't do us much good.
If you categorise for TV, you lose about 5 threads, and prevent new threads from popping up there (I think it's the most likely area for new threads to be created). You can add 4 by including movies, and 8 more by rolling in the written word.
Anything more strikes me as over-organising.
The community threads would be on the front page, but I think I'd still skim past them and click on TV if I was looking for Buffy talk.
Me, too. Keeping the BTVS/Angel/Firefly threads in the Community folder out of sentimental feeling is not good organization. They're show(/movie) discussion threads, so not putting them in the same folder as the other show threads makes utterly no sense.
I'm with Cindy and Steph here. But I, too, find a lot easier (and more fun) to cyber-organize than to do it anywhere else.
The front page is overwhelming to me. Especially since they change position all the time. Finding everything in the same place would make sense to me, since then the threads would only change position within their folders. (I think. I could be terribly wrong.)
I worry the organisation will leave you with one of those houses that's all white walls and open space and you're wondering if anyone lives here, and if so do they read or watch TV...
Metaphorically speaking.
I think we're only talking about two folders, one for stuff we watch and listen to, and one for stuff for stuff we read and write, with everything else staying where it is. That should neaten things up quite a bit.
one for monkeys, and one for cats.
