And then just now it hung when I tried to post. I hit stop, then reload, and again it popped right up, with the hanging post added. So it's not the posting, but rather the display of the updated page that's hanging.

OK, I did the above post, and then immediately hit "refresh" on the same page in another window. The refresh took much longer than previous refreshes - in fact it took almost exactly as long as the post to appear in the original window (where I did the post).
I've also noticed a couple of times that the number indicating new posts doesn't match what I get in the thread in that it's indicating something as new that I already read (and in one case, posted).
FWIW, b.net is being equally pokey.
Amen to what everyone else said--and the thinking it was just me. It's not that slow compared ot some stuff, but compared to how lightning fast it usually is...

It may be a traffic issue (i.e. people trying to post or read a thread at the same time).
I haven't noticed any problems today.
edit: OK that post took a few seconds to go through, but the delays today are not nearly as long as they were last night.
