Raq, what about "It's a meat party in your mouth!"?

Happy Birthday, Kat!
Hippo birdies, Kat. Timelies to everyone else.
It's going to be another scorcher, though it doesn't feel quite as oppressive in the shade as yesterday. Big problem - not much in the way of shade.
At least it's not Monday.
Ack. Roofers are trying to kill us. Scary.
Weirdness. A guy I did a logo for a couple years ago is starting a comic book (propaganda for his cause, designed to advertise his org.) and is using my logo as the main character's insignia. Odd to see my work so out of context.
Although it was a pretty odd project anyway.
supposed to be 99 today, with a heat index of 110. yay for my office with its "challenged" AC
The heat wave over Utah has broken, it looks like. We're not supposed to break 90 today. I actually shivered a little this morning, it felt glorious.
Happy Birthday Kat!!
ION, gronklies. Sting is telling me that we are spirits in the material world.
I wonder about the ventilation of the apartments around me. At least two on my floor have been running AC all night. Me, in a tank and boxers, I'm a wee bit chilled, but at least I didn't have to wear socks to bed last night.
I know I run hot, but not that much. I must be lucky with the cross ventilation.
Happy Birthday, Kat!
I'm lucky in my apartment. Since it's a wee small little hermit's cave of a place, it's relatively cheap and easy to cool. It was 98F yesterday, and I left the AC off all day, but kept the blinds closed and it was nearly comfortable when I got home. I just had to run the AC for about a few hours until the temperature dropped for the night.
My folks didn't have a summer cottage. But then we lived in a smallish town right next to the north end of Lake Huron. When you can bike to the beach from your house anyway, a summer cottage on a lake is kind of redundant. Since retirement, they've talked about getting a cottage on one of the smaller MI lakes for the summer, but Mom's cancer has probably put paid to that plan. At the moment I'm dreaming of owning a first home, so summer or winter cottages are rather out of reach.
