Actually, I was thinking it would be sort of like a pet. You know, we could...we could name her Trixie, or Miss Kitty Fantastico, or something.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I ordered food in and all my motivation is gone.

You need Powerskip- that'll put some bounce back in you.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

Got up early and met Kat and Lori at the bookstore, purchased some good books (including one on how to make pop-up books which I am totally loving). Then we went to have lunch and I got yummy sweet cream ice cream.

It is, as stated, unbearably hot, and taking me hours to do the chores around the place. I don't think I'll ever get to vacuuming.

Also, I got a rejection letter from an agent today. Just a plain form letter. It makes me a little sad, but the heat makes me sadder.

I do believe as soon as the laundry is done that I will be taking a cool bath and sipping iced tea.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Everyone should just sit down with a cold drink RIGHT NOW. It is summer. NOT time for running around and cleaning and all this nuttiness. It is time to sit on the porch with a paper fan.

And eat popsicles! You forgot the popsicles. I did make a run to Target today, but other than that I've spent the day lolligagging on the sofa with the fan and the ipod/speakers going, reading HP6. I am going to move out to the balconey when it gets a a little cooler and keep reading out there.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Oh yeah, I totally had a popsicle earlier.

What is even happening?

I didn't forget popsicles. I asked Scott to please pick me up some popsicles on his way home from b-i-l's party.

Popsicles AND cupcakes. Nobody can say I'm not trying to get better. Darn it.

Danger is my middle name, only I spell it R. u. t. h. - Tina Belcher.

I actually got up early to get my grocery shopping done before the temp hit 100. Then I came home and spent 3 hours asleep on the couch. I've been fighting something for a week and today it won. Gronk, indeed.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

My popsicle was actually a real fruit bar, but it was still good.

What is even happening?

My popsicle was supposed to be a Whole Fruit bar.

The store was out.

Of all kinds of popsicles.

Sad now.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Hung v. sliders - are sliders the ones that slide side-to-side instead of up and down?

Heh. I thought this was a baseball question and I was wondering why Ple was answering it.

Does "hung" have a baseball meaning to it?

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

We had a good hot weather day. Time in the bookstore and then at a bakery (both a/c) and then the pool. After the pool we had posole and sopes and now I feel faintly nauseated.

ah, summer.
