I, for one, wasn't looking forward to starting my day with a slaughter. Which, really, just goes to show how much I've grown

Not so nice is that I'm about to ruin a Friday morning for a bunch of people because of a series of unfortunate events and an upset foreign government. - shrift

Oh, Maria, I could just kiss you and kiss you and kiss you.

I won't say no to that at ALL. Everyone else may commence with the being jealous now.

That being said, you may have to hit another key in conjuction with the "Fn" key. It's different for each maker, though. On mine it's the "F11" key, but on yours it could be something else.

I hope this works for you.

Hec, Ms. Pac Man is cool simply because she wears PINK! That's all she needs to eclipse her less colorful counterpart.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

Anne - I have not. But now I suspect I want to.

Hec, look here.

Loving the story of Jilli in the record store.

My parents' view of sex'n'violence was not very consistent. I was not allowed to watch "Three's Company" due to the bawdy humor, but going to see "Life of Brian?" Fine and dandy with them. Ditto with Mel Brooks.

(In retrospect, I think the 3C ban was due to the overweening badness of the show, and not due to the content.)

What is even happening?

I won't say no to that at ALL. Everyone else may commence with the being jealous now.

No. We're just all going to kiss you, too.

I couldn't watch/see any of those. I also couldn't watch Love Boat and Fantasy Island. Shows that were on when I was up were seldom, if ever, violent, so it wasn't an issue. I wouldn't have liked them if they were, so it wasn't even a potential issue.

See? No. Fun.

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

Anne, your father did the statues outside of Busch Stadium? So cool.

There's one of Ozzie. [link]

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Hec, look here.

Holy fuck, Anne! He's a genius. I particularly like the Gibson and the Schoendist. Wow.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Love Boat was the one adult show I remember watching. We loooved that show!

Coding and Sleeping

My parents told me to never tell anyone they watched Love Boat.

Yeah, the Schoendienst one is fabulous.

The Gibson one is probably my favorite of the baseball statues. He said the hardest part was figuring out how to brace the thing so he could get the effect of the follow-through off the mound.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

I was allowed to watch Love Boat and Fantasy Island, but not Montey Python or Saturday Night Live. I was also not allowed to have comic books or Mad Magazine.
