My parents told me to never tell anyone they watched Love Boat.

Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
I particularly like the Gibson and the Schoendist.
Yeah, the Schoendienst one is fabulous.
I particularly like the Gibson and the Schoendist. Wow.
The Gibson one is probably my favorite of the baseball statues. He said the hardest part was figuring out how to brace the thing so he could get the effect of the follow-through off the mound.
I was allowed to watch Love Boat and Fantasy Island, but not Montey Python or Saturday Night Live. I was also not allowed to have comic books or Mad Magazine.
There's a distribution center in Chicago, which means there must be ice cream parlors that carry it.
Thanks, Maria. I'll look into it.
Maybe I'll go do a flavor check for Kalshane later.
Shiny!
I also continue to be amused, or is it outraged, by the fact that the whole point of GTA is killing people and dealing drugs and other sorts of crime, and yet it's the sex download that everyone's up in arms about. I mean, right?!?
Well, the problem is the code was already in the game, the hack just unlocks it. So the question becomes why was it even there in the first place?
Still, the game is rated M, and while the additional content would bump it up to AO (Adults Only), it's not like the game was about hugs and puppies in the first place, so no one really should be that surprised.
The problem is a lot of parents don't pay attention. They think "video games are for kids" and are outraged when their pre-conceptions are shattered, despite the clear labeling on the box. (My copy of Halo 2 has the "M: Mature 17+" label on the front, while on the back the label is expanded with "Blood and Gore. Violence". Likewise, my copy of BtVS has "T: Teen" on the front and "Blood and Gore, Mild Language, Suggestive Themes" on the back. I've never played any of the GTA games, though I've watched friends and relatives play them, so I couldn't tell you exactly what the box says.) These parents tend to have similar preconceptions about cartoons and comic books.
Growing up, my parents didn't want us to see either sex or violence, but it was made clear to us that violence was worse than sex. Sex was a natural part of life, but not something children should be concerning themselves with.
One of my co-workers, on the other hand, allows her kids to watch the goriest things imaginable, but won't let them watch anything with nudity in it.
I recall my parents, and thus us, watching Barney Miller, All in the Family, and M.A.S.H..
Later viewing included MacGyver, Magnum P.I., and y'know, that's pretty much it.
That being said, you may have to hit another key in conjuction with the "Fn" key. It's different for each maker, though. On mine it's the "F11" key, but on yours it could be something else.I'm going to Google for a hint and then go home and randomly hit keys until I get my alphabet back.
Um...non-video-gamer here. What's the difference between M and AO?
M=mature AO=adult only
No. We're just all going to kiss you, too.
WooT! I'm a lucky, lucky girl.
Kalshane, I hope you're successful in your quest.
Cass, look for a "NUM" marking or a keypad icon on/above/near the key. That'll be the one you hit.
