Every planet has its own weird customs. About a year before we met, I spent six weeks on a moon where the principal form of recreation was juggling geese. My hand to God. Baby geese. Goslings. They were juggled.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Ooh, you could paint your scalp! You could even use the wedding colors!

Ooh, you could paint your scalp! You could even use the wedding colors!

You could just dye your hair in the wedding colors.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Thanks, Cashmere. That helps a lot.

DH, by the way, is totally supportive of the not working thing. All worries about the rightness of it are from inside my own brain.

Don't ask don't tell, Aimee. She's going to be very surprised when she realizes on her wedding day that she has no idea what anyone not her is doing. Or maybe not so much with the realizing, but if she's thinking about what her bridesmaids are doing while she's doing her last minute get ready dance, she's one hell of a multitasker.

Oh she'll know what we're doing - the wedding planner will tell her.

That she'll have the energy and attention at that point to care is what I find incredible. My bridesmaids could have sprouted wings and flown around the room while I was getting ready and I doubt I'd have known until I saw it in the pictures.

Thrive to spite them

She put "narc on the bridesmaids" in the wedding planner's job description?

Oh, I'm sure it's there.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

thanks her lucky stars that all her friends are independent bohemian-types who can't afford to put on ritzy weddings

mentally separates "bohemian" from "boho" and "Rent-bohemian", as well as "Bohemian", for she believes most of her friends' ancestors do not hail from the area now known as the Czech Republic

desperately wishes the blue Sudafed would work on her, and wanders off in search of her brain

wonders why "separate" is so hard to remember how to spell

Aimee, is it possible to be drunk through most of the wedding weekend?

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

the bride has gove over the edge. I thought that you chose your friends to be BM and they like hanging out together and and like haveing the bride as a friend in common. so stragne.

By the way ( puts on femminist hat ). Staying home, not working in a paying job is NOT and I repeat NOT being supported by a man. Yes he is bringing home the money. however haveing someone do the cooking, cleaning, etc - saves money over going out all the time and haveing some one else do it.Plus haveing someone stayhome to wait for the fuernace guy or the elctrician , etc is priceless. If you work it right - evenings and weekeknds can be for fun , not chores. One person working for money, one person working for comfort is amazing.

I'm no martha stuart. My house is rarely at it's best. ( It was better when I wasn't working) . I work part time and make decent money doing it. while it would be nice if I worked full time, we both appreciate the fact that my schedual gives us a lot of flexibility in how/when house stuff get done.
