Am I supposed to be changing my clothes a lot? Is that the helpful thing to do?

Spike's Bitches 25 to Life

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Poor Ellie! She's getting all big and stuff. Also, HI, Stephanie! Good to see you.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

has been ripped a new one from Bride, as I just found out from Bride.

Yay, bride!

Poor Ellie and Stephanie.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

I've talked to B about it and from her aspect, she wanted it at this hotel (hell, she wanted it at a spa, at first) because she and Ethan have been together for 8 years and she wanted a ritzy shower thing.

Well, the bride doesn't get to decide what kind of shower(s) she has; nor does she get to foist a financial burden on her friends just b/c she feels entitled to be Pwincess For a Day.

Honestly. I know she's your friend, Aimee, but really. It's not good manners to be the bride and say, "The shower that all of you throw for me? The one that all of you pay for and that I don't pay a cent for, because I'm the bride? Yeah, I want it to be ritzy and fancy."

You want ritzy and fancy, you've got an actual wedding and reception for that.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Aww! Yay, Ellie on growth!

Howdy, Dylan. Is everyone in your department on vacation this week, too? (Everyone in Paul's is, it seems.)

VW, does Emily still have the vegan tiramisu recipe I sent her ages ago? I can't find my copy (it's in the basement), or I'd send it to you.

God, seriously.

Aimee, I'm sorry that you are involved in this total Wedding Drama, because I know it is the last thing you need. Lordy. When is this thing gonna be over, again?

Love that now you're getting lectures, like you're the problem. Ugh.

I just went through an old box and found a 3 ring binder with all my emails from 1997 printed out, 3 hole punched, and filed quite carefully. Huh. That was weird.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

she wanted it at this hotel (hell, she wanted it at a spa, at first) because she and Ethan have been together for 8 years and she wanted a ritzy shower thing. Fine, I get it. And I support that.
Yeah, I can get that. Especially knowing her. But then...
But MoH went about everything completely wrong,
Soooooooo wrong
and, has been ripped a new one from Bride, as I just found out from Bride.
This is excellent news.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

I just made myself a fritatta for lunch (yeah, I'm a little late). It didn't come out exactly as I wanted it to, but it'll do. I even made enough so that I can have some as a sandwich tomorrow.

yum, fritatta. I treated myself to Boston Market. It is my weakness. It's a weak-ass weakness, but there ya go.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

because she and Ethan have been together for 8 years

Hmph. I've been with my Ethan longer than that, and nobody took me to a spa.
