Can't drink, smoke, diddle my willy. Doesn't leave much to do other than watch you blokes stumble around playing Agatha Christie.

Spike ,'The Cautionary Tale of Numero Cinco'

Spike's Bitches 25 to Life

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Mostly lurking...

VW, does Emily still have the vegan tiramisu recipe I sent her ages ago? I can't find my copy (it's in the basement), or I'd send it to you.

Hmmmm...I'll ask her.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

I just made myself a fritatta for lunch (yeah, I'm a little late). It didn't come out exactly as I wanted it to, but it'll do. I even made enough so that I can have some as a sandwich tomorrow.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

yum, fritatta. I treated myself to Boston Market. It is my weakness. It's a weak-ass weakness, but there ya go.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

because she and Ethan have been together for 8 years

Hmph. I've been with my Ethan longer than that, and nobody took me to a spa.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I've been with my Ethan longer than that, and nobody took me to a spa.

Evidently you picked the wrong Ethan.

Silence means security silence means approval

Howdy, Dylan. Is everyone in your department on vacation this week, too? (Everyone in Paul's is, it seems.)

Boss #1 is in an antipodean mood. (He's in New Zealand.) Boss #2 is at another office. Co-worker isn't supposed to be in until 1.

For the most part, though, it's a ghost town around here. (Cue the Specials song.)

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Well, damnit. Today's probably a bad day to tell him that, though.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

I've been with my Ethan longer than that, and nobody took me to a spa.

Evidently you picked the wrong Ethan.

Or the wrong friends.

Happy Anniversary!!!!! , by the way.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I just made myself a fritatta for lunch (yeah, I'm a little late).

Heh, I can't even see the word "fritatta" now without thinking about Baron Orpheus on The Venture Brothers. Mainly because JZ has a crush on his excellent parenting skills.

"In the equation E = mc⬧, c⬧ is a pretty big honking number." - Scola

vw, I think I do, and will check for it if you'll leave me a note.

I think the lesson to be learned from all this is that when you're choosing a MoH, you need to consider their people skills as well as their friendship to you. I can definitely think of people I've been friends with in the past who I might then have picked for something like this becaue I liked them so much, but who would have turned planning into... well, something just like this. Argh.
