Well, lady, I must say-- You're my kinda stupid.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

stumbles into thread, exhausted

Work has gone from boring to INSANE in the space of the past 6 hours. Dear gods, I'm tired.

On the other hand, its the only thing keeping my mind off of a situation I'm dealing with very similar to Aimee's, so maybe it's a good thing. (I can't post about it publically, but...it's messy. And I don't know how messy, because my last email has gone unanswered for nearly a week now. So that's happening.)

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

One of my classes was cancelled. It's the one credit course that meets twice a week in September. So now I will only have my two classes on Wednesday, until my other 1 credit begins in mid October. I can't seem to find anything else that will fill the hole, and I'm not sure I should.

tiggy, much recovery~ma to your aunt and cousin.

{{{Teppy}}} Feel better.

Honestly, I think with each person ordering their own food and covering their own food costs, anywhere should be fine. This is a combination bachelorette/bridal shower and yes, there are expenses, but each person can manage them--they can choose to not have drinks with dinner, to have an appetizer for their entree, they don't have to stay for dinner, etc (We left the invites open so people can each manage their own experience.)And if all else fails, this is why God invented credit cards. :)

I hate this woman, Aimee.

You're right, that *is* why God invented credit cards. I guess you can whip yours out for those who can't afford dinner.

Love this response. Also, how many showers/bachelorette parties is this.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

Third shower, first bachlorette party. I'm "supposed" to throw one in September, but I'm thinking no.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

I'd be willing to bet a lot of money that I'd rather spend time with Aimee than her hypothetical rich skinny "friends." The MoH needs to be whacked on the head. A lot.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Jess, I asked this in Natter too. A while back you were lusting after some software. Was it Final Cut, and if so, was it Studio or Pro?

Now tagless for your comfort.

Third shower, first bachlorette party. I'm "supposed" to throw one in September, but I'm thinking no.

A world of fucking no.

Thrive to spite them

Third shower, first bachlorette party.

That's way too many.

I'm 200 messages behind in Natter. I lust after both, but Studio is nicer because that comes with DVD Studio Pro and a few other goodies in addition to FCP. (I have FC Studio at work, and FC Express at home, and I keep eyeing the "not for resale" thing that pops up when the program loads and thinking "But what if I just want to steal it?")

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

OMGWTFCOBRA Report, sponsored by Major Stuff Up.

So I get an email from HR this morning to meet. I am all prepared to fight for my rights to be covered cause that was the deal and they will darn well do whatever it takes to ... Huh? What was that? Just bring the COBRA bill in and you'll pay it? Wow. Um, kthxbye!

I call Jodie (HR at DxH's work) to get the date my coverage ended there. July 7. How's the weather? And, yes, I need to call COBRA to get the actual enrollment taken care of. Kthxbye!

This is finally getting easy. Whew.

I call COBRA to get the enrollment forms.

They have no idea who I am. But Dottie will "investigate."

Dottie calls back. I am indeed eligible but it seems DxH's company never notified them. If DxH's company would let them know that I am no longer covered through them, COBRA and Dottie'll both be mighty happy to process the paperwork quickly. Once they get it.

I left a message for Jodie. Two actually. And am about to call back again.

So really good news that my company is going to pay for COBRA until BC/BS antes up. I should focus on that part. Because that part was really painless this morning.

Coding and Sleeping

You're great Aimee, at least that's my opinion.

Third shower? and there's supposed to be a fourth? That's a lot of showers.
