Spike's Bitches 25 to Life
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
My maiden name had 14 letters and 2 hyphens. I answered to Suzi Ummmmmmmm so much. My DH swears I married him for his last name...and he ain't half wrong.
In other news - HI!!!!!! Check out the shiny new username. I haven't been around much, got sucked into the lj world, but I miss my b.org peeps.
So, what did I miss over the last few months???
lexine! Or should i say Maidengurl. Good to see you under any name.

It's BoBita, folks, BoBita.
For once, Robin is wrong.
It's bobita.
(she also beat me to saying it.)
Hi Maidengurl!
Oh! You're lexine!
Ya know, I didn't actually realize that, and was so confused as to who you were, on LJ...
Hey, Maidengurl!
Lexine!
My surname is simple, but liable to be mis-spelled. As well as being a surname, it's also a (fairly well known) girl's Christian name. Usually when it's a surname, though, it's the masculine (-is) spelling, rather than the feminine (-es) spelling. Thus the following exchange:
"...how do you spell that?"
"ES at the end. It's France - you know, like the country France. Only with an S at the end."
You'd think that this would work as instructions for how to spell a name, wouldn't you? It's not rocket science. It's not puzzlingly foreign. it's a pretty standard name. I can't believe the number of utterly blank looks or baffled silences on the phone that it gets me, from people who then proceed to spell it wrong anyway.
(Also my first name has a sooper seekrit silent H lurking in the middle, just for that added element of nobody-can-spell-my-name-even-though-it's-not-very-exotic)
