(My plans for it are to make it a pressie for my youngest brother. I gave him a Hello Kitty tarot deck for his 30th birthday, along with the greatest hits of Leonard Nimoy and William Shatner. Last year I gave him a big bag of zombies, and they glow in the dark. He hasn't taken them out, because as he so rightly says, then they'd no longer be a big bag of zombies.)

Timelies! I've been off at a marvelous wedding, have lovely Australian houseguests (whom I'd never met before) who are here for the wedding, plus I got to leave them at my home (happily on their part) caring for my cats while I went off to the beach house with a pal for half a week. ::sigh:: It's a drag being back at work, but YAY for paycheck in my desk drawer and Internet access.
ION, my tiara arrived, courtesy of Javacat! Wheeee! Very, very pretty, and strangely, it's one I almost bought for my recipient. Great minds. Thank you, Javacat!

My mom called again today. Dad is doing better, not in a change of prognosis way, but he's eating more and resting better since they got the hospice nurse in to help every day.
I went to Nordstrom Rack this afternoon and found a dress I think will work. It's a 2-piece thing, a fairly plain sleeveless dress in a dark wine purple, with a rather long skirt, with a sort of tweedy plaid jacket in the same base color. It's a bit matronly, but I figure that's OK under the circumstances. It's also a bit heavy for early fall in Alabama, but it was so very much a bargain I figured I could keep looking in other places, and if I can't find anything else suitable, it's no hotter than a man's suit, and somehow they manage in the heat.
So, I'm meeting with the CEO of the company I interviewed the other day at 7:30 tommorrow morning. Which is groovy and all, but odd for a support position, no?
Now I have to unearth more fancypants clothes. Wish me no wrinkle
