Am not even trying mental meara, or any other sort besides simply being me, becuase am fried from work. Worked slightly less today, as I came in late via stopping at Starbucks and picking up for everyone else. But still. And then at 7pm my boss comes around to talk to me about how some people (read: girl in cube next to mine) are pissed they feel like they're working longer hours than me, and she wanted to make sure I would be staying late, etc etc. I'm a little pissed, because (a) cube neighbor is an early person, so how the hell does she know when I leave? It's always after she's gone! (which is as it should be--she gets in at 8AM, I get in at 9:30 most days) and (b) I"m working 9-10 hours days every day, and coming in on weekends. If you want more, AND you want me to keep doing this for the next three months? You're fucking nuts. I'll do this for now. I'll ramp it up as we get closer. But I'm not going to put in 12 hour days right now, and be completely insane by September. That wouldn't help you, lady.
YEESH.

Timelies! I've been off at a marvelous wedding, have lovely Australian houseguests (whom I'd never met before) who are here for the wedding, plus I got to leave them at my home (happily on their part) caring for my cats while I went off to the beach house with a pal for half a week. ::sigh:: It's a drag being back at work, but YAY for paycheck in my desk drawer and Internet access.
ION, my tiara arrived, courtesy of Javacat! Wheeee! Very, very pretty, and strangely, it's one I almost bought for my recipient. Great minds. Thank you, Javacat!
