Laura, your disappearing housekeeper's been on my mind. How's the new office coming?

New office is coming along well. Thanks for asking. It is not only a move to a new office, but a transformation of my house.

Old office = new Bobby bedroom
Old Bobby bedroom = new Brendon bedroom
Old Brendon bedroom = new home gym

Also, moved a couple of old bookcases to office and bought myself 5 shiny new ones. Alas, it is taking me 3 hours each to build the new ones for the living room. Zillions of pieces. Doors and hinges and lights and trim, ugh.

I'll take pictures when it's done though because very pretty.

I can't wait to get all my random gym type equipment in one room. I've had the treadmill and bike in the living room. Weight bench in Brendon's bedroom (that's why it is the new gym, don't want to move that stuff again), stepper thing and tramp on the back patio, another big weight machine in the neighbor's garage. It will be so cool to have it all in one place. No doubt I will end up having a bunch of sweaty teen boys hanging here so a good fan might have to be added.

Never heard anything from the housekeepper that disappeared. I got a response from my ad from a girl that moves into the dorms at FAU just a few minutes away in Boca Raton. Sweet kid. She starts in a couple weeks when she gets moved in. She was so cute. She told me she stayed with her father when her parents divorced when she was 8 and she learned how to keep house quickly and well.

It is unreal how quickly my house fell apart again. I suck at housework. This is not likely to change any time soon.

Crap. I was reading through the thread, and I had stuff to say, and in the middle of reading, my Dad calls. He's having cardiac symptoms -- could be stress and the heat, could be the real deal -- and I'm going to go get him and take him to the hospital. We're supposed to leave Wednesday for Vermont, dang it. I mean, all that can be dealt with; that's not my issue here -- my issue is that Dad needs to be fine so that he can go see his son get married.

A little cardiac-ma, if you please. And away I go. Will update when I know more.
