Yes, it's terribly simple. The good guys are always stalwart and true, the bad guys are easily distinguished by their pointy horns or black hats, and, uh, we always defeat them and save the day. No one ever dies, and everybody lives happily ever after.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

What is even happening?

Thanks. It is sick, but I need to laugh right now, even if it is a dark laugh.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

The Wally report: I had a date today, met a woman for lunch. I doubt it'll go anywhere (she didn't seem very excited when I told her about the mimic octopus! Go figure!) but she was pleasant company and all. Oh, and she said she was impressed I was so up-front when she asked about how things stood between me and Bec, and that it sounded like I had things together.

So, like I said, I doubt it's going anywhere, but there are surely worse ways to spend an afternoon. Oh, and I've put up a new pic of myself, dressed in a suit. That's a side of me that doesn't really appear within my profile; and besides, I reckon I look good in a suit.

As a general rule, men look lovely in suits and tuxes. More casual styles seem to depend more on the particular man and his particular looks, but I can't think of a man I've seen, who has looked bad in a well fitted suit or tuxedo.

I was just drawing a picture of a hedgehog (in Photoshop), and was zoomed way in to detail the quills, when my DH took a break from the paper he's writing, came around, looked at my monitor, and said "DINSDALE?!?!?"

One site I signed up to wouldn't let me use my moniker of choice (billytea, of course), so instead I signed in as SpinyNorman.

DINNNNSDAAALE...

SpinyNorman

I'm trying to decide whether this would be appealing or not. I guess it depends on whether the reader gets the reference or not.

But hey - a date! Always good to keep in practice, even if it doesn't become a relationship. And guys in suits are hot.

Especially in summer.

"You see? THAT's what they want. Love, and a bit with a dog."

But I have an enormous amount of respect for truckers, because most of them are hard-working, conscientious and considerate people, who have a very good grasp of just how big and powerful a vehicle they're driving, and the mayhem it can cause

This too. My grandfather is a trucker, and he's very good and very responsible. He won a Trucking Rodeo, and was deemed the best in the state! He could have gone on to the Nationals, but my grandmother didn't want to go to California. (Did you know there was a Trucking Rodeo? I didn't.)

Cindy, that really does make for a long trip. I guess it closed things down so long they had to postpone a special meeting of the State Senate because no one could get there in time.

ION, my father watched my mom strap on the elbow supports her physical therapist got her for her tendonitis, hop in the truck, and come over to help me move without ever once getting off his ass. I had to call my grandfather to help us. Now, they're getting the bed over to the house and my father will no doubt be grouchy because I depend on someone else more than him.

Ah, and the circle of resentment starts anew. Same as it ever was. Any moving ~ma would be greatly appriciated.

Moving~ma to you.

Family can be a joy. We just told my FiL that we wouldn't be visiting him for our R&R. He gave us a guilt trip about how we are keeping his grandson from him. We decided to not point out that he cancelled his visit to see us after the baby was born, and bought a $5000 television instead. There's a circle of resentment spinning here also.

Trudy! I can't follow the link in Press. Yay for cool write up, Boo for me not being able to read it.

he tells me i'm not crazy or selfish

Not at all! You just had a baby and took the bar exam woman! You need some relaxing down time.

Speaking of down time. I am delighted that DH and the boys have taken such an interest in fishing. Jr. has gone to Orlando for 3 days with a friend's family to do the Disney thing. Dad and Bobby went out on the morning fishing charter and won't be back until afternoon. This leaves me alone to relax and work on putting together my new bookcases. Ahhhhh.
