I also wish I'd studied to be a linguist of one sort or another.
You'd make a cunning linguist.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I just got home from seeing Dark Water. This movie does not have a vw rating. CREEPY! I think I'm going to have nightmares tonight.
Also, I will note that Emily is not home from her test. She had to be there at 1:15. I imagine it didn't start till 1:45 or 2, but still, eek! I hope she gets home soon. And, she's going to be exhausted.
Hec, did you notice the Toto short hair pics? ;)
Matt's mom makes a good saurbratten. mmmm
today we biked to breakfast . Matt more or less finished the guitar for our 7 yr old neighbor. I did much gardening. and I have done much reading in the garden. It has just hit too hot outside so it might be time for couch and nap/read/tv.
I just called to talk to Deena. Kara answered the phone, which made me suspect that Deena was napping. I asked her if she could tell her mommy that I called, and she said, "No. I think I cannot do that." I asked her, "Why not?" She answered, "Because I will get in trouble."

I just moved my window ac (it needed to be reseated) and got so amazingly frustrated when it didn't go smoothly. Damn, the littlest things have set me off for the last couple of days. It really needs to stop.
Hee.
Oh man, I just got the most excellent coconut ice ever. Why did I get the Tiny size? I'ma have to go back tomorrow and get another one and this time I won't restrain myself.
Emily's home. Yay!
Today has been all about recording things onto DVD for me. Got Sign O the Times transferred, seeminglhy, but when I "finalized" the disc it turned into a coaster. Alas. So, I;ve been trying again with The Tick. So far so good, when the disc is full I'll try to figure out what's what, I guess.
My friends are supposed to come over in the next 10 minutes for dinner and some sort of entertainment. I could use a shower. They will probably be late, but if they're not, I can't take a < 10 min shower, so I would be wet and naked when they arroved. And we are not wet naked friends.
How'd Emily's test go? Well, I hope. It is over and she can start forgetting some of that stuff she's been ruthlessly packing into her brain, I trust.
Looks like I picked the wrong week to stop sniffing glue.
Hec, did you notice the Toto short hair pics? ;)
Very fetching. (so to speak)
It was 49ers Family Day over at Kezar Stadium (across from our apt.). So we went over and Emmett did the bungie harness thing where you get launched and bounce on a trampoline while the bungies shoot you up about 30 feet in the air. Fun!
We got caramel apples and watched the 49ers Cheerleaders do a routine to a Donna Summer medley, then we were fascinated by the mascot who had Powerskip things attached to his feet. They're like...pogo stilts, I guess.
Seven league Boots much? Or maybe more Springheel Jack?
We're back at the house watching the World Cup Softball (go Team USA) and playing card games.
