No, to the first question -- with new editions, I'm usually asked just to revamp the old copy and add a new spin. And my notes say it's coming out in February 2006. I hope there's a new look for the cover, too. The old one was pretty bare bones.

So far, all I have is the intent, the resolve, that there are going to be some boundaries, by god. My actual follow-through, however, hasn't been so great. When the ignoring of boundaries comes from the other person's neediness, I'm unable to say Cut That Shit Out, because I'm too afraid of hurting the other person. Particularly when it's my Dad. Or a close friend.

I tried to juggle my schedule, and my family has made it clear that there are going to be Far Too Many Family Things for us to do for me to go gallivanting off to Boston. Feh. (But they're probably right, and I love my bro and want to be there, anyway.)

My back is randomly spasming, which is reallllllly annoying. I have muscle relaxers, though, so I took them and now I'm in bed, snuggled up with Harry Potter....errr....the Harry Potter *book*....and hopefully my back will be un-spasm-y in the morning.

Yah. And my nice hardbound copy looks a bit like what happens when publishers make plates from older copies of a book, rather than re-typesetting. Broken letters, etc. Nice that it will get a revamp.

It's fun. I write a lot of romance copy, or used to. I've been getting a lot more nonfiction stuff lately, and I've written copy for Wicca books, cookbooks about smothered Southern food, parenting, all kinds of stuff. Writing copy for Regency romances was always my favorite, because of the very specific tone and language.
