I have occasionally considered attempting Smush on the one Matt gave me, but it's so perfect that I don't want to gild the lily and/or break it.
But, it may be possible to heat the lion in water, then do the smushing. Seriously, if you look to the model horse remaking communities for advice, it's probably fairly doable. (Mind, those are only hollow in the middle, but still. Much can be done.)

I have a smooshed face lion, but he's one from the press kits and therefore not really wax. he's still adorable.
