Overwhelming? How much more than whelming would that be exactly?

If I only had a brain...

Or it could be that service jobs suck because customers suck, and therefore service is commensurate with customer behavior and with payscale.

Nah. I blame Amtrak.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

A date of mine once told me a story about a friend's trip to Germany and said friend's Ugly American behavior toward a conductor while touring the country by rail. Suffice to say, the tale ended with the conductor shouting "The trains do not run to Auschwitz anymore!" in his face.

Lurching from one disaster to the next.

Forget about trains, I'd like to see the return of massive Zeppelins. The "balloon" could be covered with cells so they're solar powered, and they could quietly and majestically waft across the land and sea in luxury.

Can we all wear bias-cut satin and be photographed in black and white?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

There are no jewel tones in black and white!

Yes, there are; they just photograph as black. (I think red photographs as black, doesn't it? Isn't that why Max Factor invented Pan-Cake? ) *I'd* know it was sapphire blue.

I kinda like Amtrack. I commuted between Philly and DC for a time and for haircuts (don't ask). And I've taken the train from DC to Cleveland and back. It is what it is.

I love travelling by plane most times, but I'm a freak.I think it is because when we travelled as kids it was a Very Big Thing and we flew to Hawaii a lot and it was fun for us as kids.

To be all topical and shit, I just bought the Hamilton Bio. It's fat. It will wait until christmas/post papers and stuff.
