[NAFDA] "There will be an occasional happy, so that it might be crushed under the boot of the writer." From Zorro to Angel (including Wonderfalls and The Inside), this is where Buffistas come to anoint themselves in the bloodbath.

I kinda like Amtrack. I commuted between Philly and DC for a time and for haircuts (don't ask). And I've taken the train from DC to Cleveland and back. It is what it is.
I love travelling by plane most times, but I'm a freak.I think it is because when we travelled as kids it was a Very Big Thing and we flew to Hawaii a lot and it was fun for us as kids.
To be all topical and shit, I just bought the Hamilton Bio. It's fat. It will wait until christmas/post papers and stuff.
At some point in my life I want to take an ocean liner to Europe.

There is a ship called The World that takes 2 years to sail around the world. You'd need to have a chunk of change saved up.

Yeah, me too. I'm seriously considering taking the family on one of the Alaska glacier cruises in the meantime. Before they vanish.

My parents did that two years ago. They brought back some beautiful pictures.
I've never heard anybody be less than thrilled after going on one of those.

Betsy we did that cruise in May of '04 and it was without a doubt the best vacation we've had (and that's saying a lot since we've been on some really cool vacations -- Hawaii and London just to name two). I heartily recommend it to everyone! The kids (age 12 and 8 then) had a great time and so did the adults, even my mom who isn't able to get around all that much had a wonderful time.
Is this still the procrastination thread? I can't seem to bring myself to care about work today.
