I traded mine in for the opportunity to touch Gina Torres.
'Dirty Girls'
[NAFDA] "There will be an occasional happy, so that it might be crushed under the boot of the writer." From Zorro to Angel (including Wonderfalls and The Inside), this is where Buffistas come to anoint themselves in the bloodbath.

you are both too cute for words. 8 hundred trabillion "points" each.
ITA, Allyson. I keep hoping you and Kristen at least will get your due in a DVD easter egg somewhere, sometime.
For my part, I'd like to say "thank you" to both of you for your efforts to promote Firefly. I'm certain your work contributed to Universal's decision making process (in a positive manner), although I do see your point regarding the woo-age.
You could if you went to any number of cons, though. Flying Serenity?
That I shall cherish.
So why am I still annoyed?
because you are competitive.
Aw, Eddie, thanks.
I'm fierce about not taking credit for DVDs or the flick. However, it's HUGELY important to know that the biggest accomplishment of all of that is that it was enormously important to the cast and crew, very much appreciated at a pretty shitty time when they were repeatedly told no one was watching the show.
So when I get all bitchy and bitter, Kristen reminds me of that.
because you are competitive.
I WANT MY POINTS.
Do you feel pushed aside by the new fans or the new Serenity promotions? Like they're obliviously inheriting the fruits of your labor? I think it'd be reasonable for you to feel some ownership, to some degree, over the production and for you not to be recognized by the masses must chafe.
Okay, putting away the couch now.
Awwww. That's sweet.
But, seriously, we're ON the series DVDs and that's incredibly cool. Also, it's where, if anywhere, we belong. We were part of the Firefly TV fandom. The movie fandom is its own entity. I haven't had anything to do with the movie. I didn't help make it happen. I haven't promoted it. I'm not even sure I'll go see it.
It's like...it's like being a GnR fan. Some people went with Axl after the schism. Some went to Velvet Revolver. Some keep wearing their spandex pants and pretending it's still 1990.
Some of us diehard Browncoats who go to all the cons know exactly who started the ball rolling and got us a Big Damn Movie.
The Variety ad is mentioned often with love and affection by those who have been around for longer than the last year.
You guys aren't forgotten just not as present as you once were. Fans are fickle and the new contingent found the DVDs last week. They know nothing of what was done before.
