[NAFDA] "There will be an occasional happy, so that it might be crushed under the boot of the writer." From Zorro to Angel (including Wonderfalls and The Inside), this is where Buffistas come to anoint themselves in the bloodbath.

Friends don't let friends dismiss Veronica Mars unjustly.

Just finished watching my Tivoed episodes.

Am I the only one that practically heard a voiceover saying "Next week on The Inside... Web goes totally fucking apeshit."?

Those were (imo) the strongest eps yet, and quite different from each other. I loved Paul's conflicted role in the second ep, which would have been much less interesting if we hadn't seen Paul the goody-goody for the five eps previous. And of course the ending had me totally surprised.

Man, I can barely remember the first ep because that second one was so mind-blowing.

"Now every time I look at her I picture her all tied up. But in a negative way."

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

Next week, Tim Minear will be played by Peter Coyote. I swear. And I laugh every time I think about it.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Does anyone know what season Tim started writing for Lois & Clark?

Last season, I believe.

Thanks, Kristen. I was given Season 1 as a gift, and I was wondering how many more seasons until Tim episodes.

Also, there is no way I am sleeping tonight, and I blame Tim.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

And knows him some Streisand.

Finally someone mentioned it. "YENTL was underrated" made me laugh and laugh.

Great one-two punch there Tim. If I hadn't been hooked before, these two would have done it. The character stuff for the secondary leads is working its way in nicely. The only one who still feels underrepresented to me is the tech guy. He's had some fun lines, though.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Liked both eps, though I think I liked the first one better.(I guess my current frame of mind is such that "character starts to learn to trust her teammates" works better for me than "character who has happiness in his life gets stomped on". And yes, I know there was far more to the second ep than that, but that's what stuck with me.)

One thing I didn't get in the second ep is why widower marine would kill using the m.o. of the perp. Perp's in jail, and a killing with his m.o. is just gonna cause doubt, which is what happened. Unless marine guy wanted the perp out of jail so he could torture/kill him, I don't see why he did it.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

Unless marine guy wanted the perp out of jail so he could torture/kill him, I don't see why he did it.

That was what I got from it. Since he (perp) didn't get the death penalty, he (army boy) wanted to finish the job himself.

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

I thought that was stated explicitly.

It was.
