[NAFDA] "There will be an occasional happy, so that it might be crushed under the boot of the writer." From Zorro to Angel (including Wonderfalls and The Inside), this is where Buffistas come to anoint themselves in the bloodbath.

I fought the law and I won!

The can of worms is open. Did Alvarez really deglove herself and cut off her own face like Locke theorized in the pilot or did she have assistance. Web accepted the theory with little hesistation. Who stole the woman's heart with Billy Ray Pope in prison and why? Perhaps Web likes the cat and mouse game so much that he did it in order to get Pope released just so he could catch him again or kill him. He could be the Big Bad of the season or maybe I'm getting a little carried away and it is just misdirection.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

What self-sacrificing thing did Web do?

I may have to seize the cat.

See, my initial connection was Zoe.

Yes, I caught that. But then I heard that little Buffy-voice in my head, knew it was a Joss-voice, and had to figure out where exactly it came from.

What self-sacrificing thing did Web do?

He saved Paul's ass by saying he'd given him direct orders. While it may not have been intentionally self-sacrificing, and while it may not be what led to his being removed, it certainly looked as if that was why it happened. And Paul doesn't strike me as the type to spend a lot of time on intentions.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Ouch! I just finished watching the episode because I was intereruppted with a phone call, and all I can say in, ouch. That episode actually hurt to watch. In a good way. I think. I didn't see the end coming at all. The rosepetals were a nice touch in the final scene.

I hope the preview is a major misdirect. I am going to theorize that someone is obsessed with Locke and is the real criminal next week. I am probably totally wrong.

Hm. That didn't strike me as salf-sacrificing so much as just a lie.

But I don't pretend to understand why Web is leaving his gun on the desk and getting out, that could be why.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

According to the laws of Joss, this means you're going to marry him.

Well, feel free to fling him through the walls of a collapsing house to test PC's theory.

Or just DO him and turn him evil.

Well, he's not unattractive... so that one seems like a win-win for me. Send him over.

Plus, he may have done it for himself as well. Did you see how he was freaking when Paul had quit? He needs him, for whatever reasons.

I liked the, "I'm done being the heart you never had" line.

I don't think anyone really cares as long as it works.

Damn. I repeat, damn.

If FOX decides to shelve the series before next week's episode I'm going to be even more pissed off then the combined loss of Firefly and Wonderfalls going before their time.

Only 7 left. Please FOX. Air them. For me? I mean, uh, us. Yeah, for us.

I do believe in killing the messenger, you know why? Because it sends a message. ~ Damon Salvatore

Dude! Who was he?!

ummm...i don't really know. imdb says he was Jeremy in Like A Virgin. i may have to rewatch. such a hardship.

I'm wondering this, too. Maybe it's connected to the guy he shot dead in the first episode? On top of tons of other crap he's gotten away with, I'm sure.

good call, Denise. also? *smooooooch*

Paul's dreamy in a black shirt.

that episode was the first time i've ever gotten that "guh" reaction. i blame the black shirt.
