This is so nice. Having everyone together for my birthday. Of course, you could smash in all my toes with a hammer and it will still be the bestest Buffy Birthday Bash in a big long while.

[NAFDA] "There will be an occasional happy, so that it might be crushed under the boot of the writer." From Zorro to Angel (including Wonderfalls and The Inside), this is where Buffistas come to anoint themselves in the bloodbath.

I may have to seize the cat.

Man, not watch-n-posting means everyone else makes all the funnies I wanted to. (See: All the stuff about Jenny Calendar.)

I heart Rebecca, so much. And more and more I am all, "Ah yes! I know how that is!" Granted, I don't parallel her much at all in the actual-life-events dept. (yay), but the socially-awkward thing? Hella yes.

Made boyf stop to admire logo, Allyson. Looks way better on TV even.

Before I was kind of sad this show was disappearing. Now I'm super-sad.

Words to boyfriend at end of 2nd episode: "Do you want to start watching all of them again from the beginning?" Because I'd totally be up for that, like, now.

ETA:

Strega, I don't much like Paul either. I am all smug because now that Web has done something self-sacrificing, Paul can't be all "WEB IS THE DEVIL!!!!" anymore. Also, I call Paul "Hal Patinkin." Because he looks like if Hal Sparks and Mandy Patinkin had a baby. (Two Mandy references in one day! Whee!)

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

I really, really don't like him.

According to the laws of Joss, this means you're going to marry him.

Or just DO him and turn him evil.

What's sad is it took me a minute to place the, "I really didn't like him" voice in my head as Buffy's.

Hey. New board.

Hey, Tim. I know you probably won't, but you know what would be awesome? If you took a page out of Joss's books and found a way to pen us some The Inside comics. Jane could help write. 6 issue mysteries, so they fit in a trade.

I fought the law and I won!

The can of worms is open. Did Alvarez really deglove herself and cut off her own face like Locke theorized in the pilot or did she have assistance. Web accepted the theory with little hesistation. Who stole the woman's heart with Billy Ray Pope in prison and why? Perhaps Web likes the cat and mouse game so much that he did it in order to get Pope released just so he could catch him again or kill him. He could be the Big Bad of the season or maybe I'm getting a little carried away and it is just misdirection.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

What self-sacrificing thing did Web do?

Yes, I caught that. But then I heard that little Buffy-voice in my head, knew it was a Joss-voice, and had to figure out where exactly it came from.

What self-sacrificing thing did Web do?

He saved Paul's ass by saying he'd given him direct orders. While it may not have been intentionally self-sacrificing, and while it may not be what led to his being removed, it certainly looked as if that was why it happened. And Paul doesn't strike me as the type to spend a lot of time on intentions.
