I tell you I have this theory. It goes where, you're the one who's not my sister. Cuz mom adopted you from a shoe box full of baby howler monkeys, and never told you cuz it could hurt your delicate baby feelings.

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

Calamari, yum.

I think I need to go make some lunch.

What is even happening?

Cindy, have you ever had fried calamari? It's usually served out here with aioli (garlic mayonaisse).
I haven't, because I don't do squid. My father-in-law loves it, though.

(I don't mind aioli, or regular mayo, for that matter, just not on french fries). I love seafood, but give me lobster, mussels, steamers, crab, scallops, and some fish (not all). Mostly, I think frying it is a waste of good food. Don't get me wrong, I'll eat it, but I prefer it otherwise. Steam it, baby, or maybe broil it, depending on the food.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Cindy, have you ever had fried calamari? It's usually served out here with aioli (garlic mayonaisse).

Aioli is one of the recipes in the new Cook's Illustrated. Ooh - so is blueberry buckle. Weren't we just talking about that?

What is even happening?

Actually, Hec, to be clear, I have had calimari, I just don't like it.

UGH incapable of complete thought.

I just have never had calimari with aioli.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Sometimes thin clients suck.

Are you being sizeist, ita?

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Mmmm, Billie Holiday is singing "You Go To My Head" right now which is very spiff.

Unfortunately, this otherwise nearly comprehensive collection of Billie does not include her version of "Willow Weep For Me" which I learned to learn from the crap early sixties art-house movie Eva by Joseph Losey. In the movie, Jeanne Moreau is a femme fatale with heavy eyeliner who lounges about her in stockings and bra, smoking cigarettes and looking existential and playing "Willow Weep For Me" over and over. Then she goes and destroys some man's life.

Up with the sun

My mother is an okay cook, heavy on the frozen veggies and canned soups for my tastes, but not repulsive by any means.

French fries with mayo are okay, but I am so used to ketchup that they don't taste "right" to me.

I don't like potatoes as a sandwich topping in any form.

I had leftover butter chicken, a pita and strawberry yogurt for lunch. Also a Coke.

And, Nilly, one question about the bagged milks -- what happens if the kid can't finish it, or just wants to put it down and use their hands for something else for a second? I can't see a way to store them or put it down so it wouldn't spill.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Mayo is repulsive on all things, though can be made into an interesting sauce with the addition of other crap.

Ketchup is the Devil, except on hot dogs.

Butter on berries is a world of eww.

Butter in coffee frightens and confuses me. Coffee should be black as a Goth's closet.

Malt vinegar/fries = OTP.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Be glad I don't start randomly quoting song lyrics.
