It's not like she blew me off. She just left with another guy, that's all.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Oh, Beauty and the Geek.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Oh, look. Cheese dipped in magic Zankou garlic goo.

Behold the power of crack.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

I have a Buffista parent question for a piece I'm writing. As a parent, when you look at older (over age 10 or so) kids, what do you see? Do you see their younger selves, even their babyselves in them? Is it a matter of glimpses or one solid impression?

Ugh, Aimee. If it helps any, my grandmother's had congestive heart failure for like 10 years. It's not necessarily as bad as it sounds.

Moooom, msbelle's picking on me!

I was answering what I supposed was your question.

But I do need a break. But not gonna get one.

Not a parent but

Is it a matter of glimpses

this is what happens for me with my friend's kids and my nephew and cousins, mostly. Though I completely didn't recognize a cousin I hadn't seen since he was 14 and now he's mid-30s. But he's gotten buff and stuff.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

Thanks, Jesse. It's not life threatening, right now. But....He was so strong and so athletic and seeing him not be able to do these things just breaks my heart. I know that grandparents get old, but dammit, I don't have to like it.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Healthma to your grandfather, Aimee.

I've been watching the Bones pilot, and it's not good. Just not.

When is/was it on?

I hear you. Stupid lack of immortality!

Good Trouble and Righteous Fights

Much healthma to your grandfather, Aimee.
