I like books. I just don't want to take on too much. Do they have an introduction to the modern blurb?

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

"I've got a gun! I've got a mother-flippin' gun!" - Moss, The IT Crowd

That sucks, Pete. You guys should come to SF when it is playing here.

Heh. I wouldn't say no, but all available disposable income got blown on a shiny new Mac & monitor, & wacom & scanner. My old set-up was 6.5 years old and was well past its last legs.

I get the shiny on Monday.

Robin report back!

OK, so wait. lori dances like a squirrel?

ponders image.

Oh.I read that so wrong. Sorry, lori.

I've accomplished nothing. I need to buy tickets, clean and mail my mom her shoes (she forgot them.)

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Okay, I've talked vaguely enough about learning to surf. Now I'm telling meatspace people I'm going to do it, I need to do it.

Does anyone have any recommendations for a good place to get starter lessons?

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I get the shiny on Monday.

Yay for new shiny!

I have a guess about one of the two people ita is talking about, but I also want Robin to report back.

ita had sex with Carrot Top, didn't she?

(Please someone else tell me you remember the long, convoluted conversation about macking on celebrities that led to the conclusion that ita and Carrot Top did the nasty! It's not just me, is it?)

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

I'm pretty sure Carrot Top is just teaching ita to surf, Tep.

Always Anti-fascist!

Yeah, Tep, I think I do.

That could be a euphemism, though. Right? Right?

Ideally bon should be here so I can say "No, I think it was about bon bon and kissing."

But she's not, though I'm going to take a moment to imagine her sputtering in horrified defensiveness.

*I* have seen Carrot Top naked. It wasn't a mutual thing, and he really needs to be more careful about where he puts his latex. Bon bon has a friend that had some beginner surf lessons from him, though.
