Well, we may not have parted on the best of terms. I realize certain words were exchanged. Also, certain... bullets. But that's air through the engine. It's past. We're business people.

Spike's Bitches 24: I'm Very Seldom Naughty.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

I got my bellydancing DVDs from Fat Chance - a basic instructional one and the Woman Power Workout - and tried them out. Hard. I did about ten minutes of each yesterday and I'm sore today. I might have to work up to the point of being able to take a class.

Oh, man -- it makes me sore, you betcha. But fun!

"You see? THAT's what they want. Love, and a bit with a dog."

meara, your pictures make me go squee.

Raquel, I hope you start feeling good soon!

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I'm thinking a week or two of working out at home with the DVDs and I'll be brave enough to go to a class, and less likely to collapse before it's over.

Even the little I did was really fun.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

Steph, I haven't lost power, except for a few blips, but I understand there are about 50,000 customers out, mostly because of falling trees. A guy was killed last night only a mile or two away from here when a tree fell on his bedroom. My yard is full of big oak trees. I keep going to the window and looking suspiciously at them. My patio is about a foot deep in water. I'm thinking about getting some sand and calling it a beach.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

All I got where two shots of a spiky haired blond, the first of which featured another cute girl who isn't you, and the second of which featured you, and you're so pretty.

Ahem. I am in super-heavy powder, because I knew I was going to sweat most of it off right quick. It was HOT (and HOTT) this weekend.

Faboo pictures of meara's trip, and I also got to see her vid of Fay saying "Keeping it real for my peeps, yo." I squeed, becuase Fay is so lovely and adorable.

Med~ma for Raquel and vw, as well as Connie's DH.

I'm doing online training today, so I get to pop in and out. Yay!

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

From last night, to Plei:

Probably, but we'd need to run and get scissors.

Yay! I'd offer to bring them, but that wouldn't work.

All is well that ends in pizza.

Don't garden wearing flip-flops, even if you're only pulling a weed here and there. It'll turn into more. ow ow ow! STOP AND PUT REAL SHOES ON.

I hear you. I washed the van in brand new cheap flip flops, and I would not recommend that, either. Soapy water + cheap vinyl? Slippery blister maker.

Eep, Ginger, that's a lot of water! Glad you have power.

brillig

Connie, what kind of surgery does DH have to have?

He's having another spinal fusion. His lower back is such a hammered mess. They might be taking out the titanium bracing from the last fusion, too. His surgeon is wondering if there's some odd reaction going on to the metal. I don't know if Hubby will get to keep it or not. He likes trophies.

Mostly lurking...

Damn.

I went to the Newton Library yesterday to pick up a couple of books for my comparative analysis paper for my ASL class. They were closed (apparently Sundays in July and August). I was all pissed and ready to go in there today and yell at them, because I got their hours from their website.

I just went back to check the website to make sure I don't make a fool of myself, and sure enough it says it on the website. Why can't I read through the whole page? I feel stupid.

ETA: connie, when is this surgery? Somehow I missed that in my skimming.
