We killed a homeless man on this bench. Me and Dru. Those were good times. You know, he begged for mercy, and you know, that only made her bite harder.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Thrive to spite them

My neighbor aka the landlady's son in law has decided to clean the gutters. Right now.

It's almost 9pm, that seems like the wrong time to do it. It's dark out!

Maybe he's thinking we're going ot have massive rain because of the hurricane and there will be a problem if they aren't cleaned out.

brillig

you forgot Matthew McConaghey's gorgeous blue neckscarf

He did have pretty eyes.

It was so lovely to see an adventure movie where the plot didn't depend on a bit of stupidity on the part of a character. Competent people getting to do the things they're good at.

Though a friend of ours doesn't think McConaghey made a good Dirk Pitt. I've read some of the Dirk Pitt movies, and McConaghey made a better one, less arrogant and "Oh, look, a woman, I bet I sleep with her."

Good Trouble and Righteous Fights

Back from Costco, where they utterly discombobulated me by rearranging the store at some point since my last visit. They moved the diapers.

Cass, big hugs to you.

Oh! Also, I went up to my dad's last night and his hanging tomatoes are doing great as usual. Pics: [link] [link]

Susan, I know! I discovered today that they rearranged my Target. Spending way too much money was harder than usual.

Well, it took longer, anyway.

What is even happening?

Cass, I'm sorry for the sadness, and the frustration on top of it. I'm so glad you're here.

Brenda, how does your dad do that with the tomatoes?

You plant the tomatoes upside down in a hanging basket (cutting a hole in the bottom big enough to fit the stalks through. Then dirt, and flowers planted in the top. The tomatoes grow like crazy, and you don't have to worry about staking. Plus, cool.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

Got an email from last night's date. Pretty much what I was expecting, no real sparkage there. Ah well.

My divorce is final, final, final today. In theory. We signed the last papers six months ago and the courts were supposed to send us each a copy once they were officially entered. Then it was just a case of waiting the six months (thanks State of California) out. But neither of us ever got anything from the court. So not only am I dealing with the “piece of paper has today’s date” signaling the last death throe of my marriage, I don't actually have the paper. Fuck.

I'm sorry Cass. That's really rough.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

She learned it from the best.
Tales of me flashing are very overrated. There was the one time my sister flashed Tommy Lee using my breasts and the time I was sunbathing in Mexico whilst renting a house with a few other women. I think that sums up the entirety of my breasts on public display. Unless I am repressing anything.

I really love the upside-down tomatoes.

Thanks, Cindy. The frustration is really making this worse, I think. I am not looking forward to Monday, "um, so that thing, is done, right????"

Being here is really helpful.

That's really rough.
Yeah, sadly, it is. Thank you.
