You know me! I'm like, "Go school! It's your birthday!" Or something to that effect.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"You see? THAT's what they want. Love, and a bit with a dog."

Thanks, Nora. I was thinking of jotting a quick acknowledgement email today, but I'm not sure what I'd write.

Dear Mr. Hiring Dude,

Thank you for not KILLING MY SOUL.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

{{Nora}} RIP Arthur, and hang in there Beeblebrox.

Excellent naming strategy, btw, Nora.

I forgot to congratulate you, Lilty, that's a great letter to have gotten. They really are keeping you in mind, and they'd only do that if you impressed them. i bet you hear from them again with something more suitable.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

Thank you for not KILLING MY SOUL.

heh. I know that feeling well.

I kept contacts from places that hadn't hired me, but still seemed to like me, and would every once in a while (like every3-4 months or so) call them and let them know I was still interested in working with them, and is there anything on the horizon? I liked leaving voicemails, if possible, as I felt that was more of a low-pressure way of doing it. If I got a call back, (which I usually did) even just saying, thanks for your call, but we got bupkis right now, I was fairly confident that I wasn't annoying them. If I never heard anything back from them, I'd back off.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

It was the last one. Most snoggable. Also, you look pretty fucking hot.

Yes! That was the one I thought you meant to link to, Hec. It was way hot.

I'm sorry about the kitty, Nora.

"Fuck Western ideologically-motivated gender identification!" Sulu gasped, and came.

((Nora))

Poor wee Beeb. RIP Arthur.

"She peered inside the small wooden box and saw a wonder before her eyes; a dark stormy sea and shipwreck with few survivors. Then the sky opened up....."

Sounds like images from Twelfth Night, or The Tempest, but I guess it's not to do with those, so I go nothin'.

...am strangely drawn to this notion of embracing my inner redhead. Huh. Would require a total wardrobe re-think. which is kind of exciting.

Huh.

thanks, y'all. I forgot for a while this morning how sad I was. But I'm pretty sad. he was such a sweet thing. I wished very much I could have lived with them. But, sheesh, those cats were outdoor cats before they knew what the outdoors was! I had them from itty bitty kittys - I took care of their mom (house-sat) just a few days after they were born, and I had first pick of the litter. Arthur was the greedy gluttonous biggest baby at Stevie's teet.

But he and Beeblebrox got along so well, and I wanted 2, so they could keep each other company while I was at work. So they never SAW the outside. But still they would ambush me whenever I came home and always, always, always tried to make a break for it.

Seriously. One would distract me, and one would get loose. It was very difficult having people over. "OK, when I open the door, MOVE, MOVE, MOVE inside!"

At my parents' they were free to roam, come and go, stalk various small animals and birds, get into scuttles, and lead the kind of glorious kitty life they seemed destined for.

Aw, Arthur.

Lilty, I would totally send them a quick e-mail or hand-written note. I'd probably say something like:

Dear So-and-So,

Thank you so much for taking the time to let me know of your company's interest in me. It was encouraging to know that my resume was of interest even though you do not have any positions currently available. Please feel free to keep my resume on file and notify me of other opportunities. I look forward to keeping in touch with you.

Aw, vw, you're too good to me.

How are you doing today?

"Fuck Western ideologically-motivated gender identification!" Sulu gasped, and came.

It totally sounds like Arthur had a fabulous life, Norah.

I'm doing ok. I'm starting to think that maybe I'll run by the hospital on Friday to fill out the paperwork. I think it may be a bit much for today. I'm working for five hours today, so that's gonna be a stretch. Fortunately, most of that time is on the floor with the kids, which in some ways is easier. Chores time is crazy, but the rest of the time we pretty much just hang out and watch tv or chat or whatever.
