Dawn: I thought you were adequate. Giles: And the accolades keep pouring in. I'd best take my leave before my head swells any larger. Good night.

'First Date'

Spike's Bitches 24: I'm Very Seldom Naughty.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

That sounds like a lovely meal, Cindy. i don't think I've been to a Macaroni Grill, but I've been somewhere where the waitresswrote her name on teh table in crayon. It's a nice touch.

Go vw with the gettting things down and balls rolled and whatnot!

That wooden box shipwreck thing sounds familiar, bt, but I can't place it. good luck with getting exactly the responses you want, not too much and not too little. I wish you to be the Goldilocks of dating.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

OK, now that the morning shift for Buffistas has gotten their Emily-fix, I was able to getinto kodakgalleries and Emily, you look AWESOME!

Cindy, the lobster ravioli sounds so delicious! Hooray for date night!

In not so great news, I got a call from my mom last night; one of my kitties (who I had to put into foster care at my folks years ago, due to the cats' obsession with being outside, and my living in places where that wasn't feasible), Arthur, died. He had a clot and lost the use of his hind legs first; my mom brought him to the vet, where he confirmed there was nothing to be done, and he was put to sleep while my mom pet him till he died.

Oh, shit, I'm crying AGAIN. RIP Arthur. May you kill many birds and mice in Kitty Valhalla. He was a big dumb sweet ginger calico cat. His brother, Beeblebrox, will have a hard time. They've been together every day since they were born 10 years ago.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

Lilty, I forgot to mention, that it was so great that you got that letter! I bet there will be more action with that company. It's always good to have a positive dialogue/line of communication open with places.

Thanks, Nora. I was thinking of jotting a quick acknowledgement email today, but I'm not sure what I'd write.

Dear Mr. Hiring Dude,

Thank you for not KILLING MY SOUL.

{{Nora}} RIP Arthur, and hang in there Beeblebrox.

Excellent naming strategy, btw, Nora.

I forgot to congratulate you, Lilty, that's a great letter to have gotten. They really are keeping you in mind, and they'd only do that if you impressed them. i bet you hear from them again with something more suitable.

Thank you for not KILLING MY SOUL.

heh. I know that feeling well.

I kept contacts from places that hadn't hired me, but still seemed to like me, and would every once in a while (like every3-4 months or so) call them and let them know I was still interested in working with them, and is there anything on the horizon? I liked leaving voicemails, if possible, as I felt that was more of a low-pressure way of doing it. If I got a call back, (which I usually did) even just saying, thanks for your call, but we got bupkis right now, I was fairly confident that I wasn't annoying them. If I never heard anything back from them, I'd back off.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

It was the last one. Most snoggable. Also, you look pretty fucking hot.

Yes! That was the one I thought you meant to link to, Hec. It was way hot.

I'm sorry about the kitty, Nora.
