Funny thing about black and white. You mix it together and you get gray. And it doesn't matter how much white you try and put back in, you're never gonna get anything but gray.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

aw, crap, Erin. I'm sorry this week is sucking for you. I hope it turns around real soon.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

And this new cat is cute, but I am not feeling The Love I feel for Gimlet.

I'm not quite sure why you got a new cat considering the allergies plus Gimlet not loving it and the extra expenses. But there's undoubtedly some Cat Logic to it all which escapes me.

I didn't think the allergies would kick up quite this much -- plus, they're usually easily controlled by pills, except I don't have any right now. So that's a temp thing.

And I took Tulip because storm + hungry + sweet-natured + thinking about a 2nd cat anyway = New cat

If Gimlet really can't stand her after a week, then I might try to re-home her.

I don't know, don't ask me. I'm stupid, ok.

Yeah, I don't think so. Impulsive? Soft-hearted? Both of those, probably.

Soft-headed, more like.

Well, it's done now. And she is sweet.

Soft-headed, more like.

Particularly in the swamplike sinuses.

But maybe taking on dependents when you can't even afford allergy pills was a little ambitious.

Erin, you're not soft-headed. You do need that job thang to start up so you can get your meds.

I basically attachment parent. It's more of a guideline, really, despite what some parenting board posters would have you think. And it's not that hard. It's all about "listening" to your kid.)
