I, for one, wasn't looking forward to starting my day with a slaughter. Which, really, just goes to show how much I've grown

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Thrive to spite them

I don't think that study should be called scientific. Or even a study.

A third didn't give data?

And what if some of the participants (esp those who didn't give data) weren't interested in the pron for other reasons than not being attracted to the gender. Maybe it was too boring.

Thrive to spite them

I forgot to mention the bad fashion choices I saw at the grocery store yesterday.

First, there was the teenage girl wearing a really stupid layered outfit. She had on a long sleeve white t shirt (I'm not sure how she could survive) and a halter top with a red hankerchif motif. Except it was more of a halter bathing suit top in size. Badly fitting. Then under the shirt you could see her dark bra.

I'm not sure what would posses someone to put a halter top on OVER a longsleeve shirt, but perhaps her mother forbid her from leaving the house looking trashy. Instead she left the house looking horrid.

Then there was a guy with one of those really long goatees. It's stupid looking in general, but at least he didn't die it like the guy from Anthrax. He had a shaved head...not quite bald but with close stubble and a tattoo on teh back of his head. All I saw was "umb" and I thought why would some one tattoo "numb" on the back of their head? Because there was no way it could be "Dumb."

He turned his head and, of coure, it was Dumb. In gothic lettering.

At least he's got a warning sign.

Compassionately intolerant

Good on ya for being prepared Nora.

I'm so paranoid about that feeling that I never travel without my cranberry and propolis capsules. Fortunately after living through so many (7 in one year, yo), I've learned how to treat mine at home so I don't even have to wait for the docs office to open.

Ick. Just thinking about it makes me nervous. Ima go drink some unsweetened cranberry juice.

Poor Walter!

Toilet training newborns? jeebus. Pretty soon, the sprog will be required to complete a PhD by correspondance in vitro.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

I am now imagining a new sitcom: The Anals. In which both the newborn and the cat use the toilet.

Every episode focuses in some way on the proper use of the toilet.

What is even happening?

Oh, yeah. I meant to come back with the diaperless living links, but forgot:

Look Ma, no Diapers: [link]

The Diaper Free Way; An overview: [link]

Diaper Free Baby Website: [link]

I think it sounds like a lot of work, and like Attachment Parenting itself, I'm so glad I didn't learn about this while it had any relevance to my life, because it would have proven one more reason to beat myself up.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

Beverly, I started off calling her Cosmo (for Cosmopolitan) but it didn't fit.

Hmm. Julep.

A lady at work was all freaking out about feline leukemia, and now I am so scared that this kitty has it and is giving it to Gimlet RIGHT NOW. I can't get Tulip to the vet till Friday. ($$$)

Tell me I'm just being paranoid, and as long as they don't fight, they should be ok.

ION, I look like friggin's hell tonday because I have been blowing my nose and sneezing for the last 24 hours. Yeah.

Bev, I'm gonna go back on the antiD's Friday = nned paycheck.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

That diaper free thing sounds like a whole lot of needless work to me.

Is Gimlet vaccinated, Erin? All my cats have been vaccinated for Feline Leukemia as a matter of course, because they go outside. I think that would mean no danger from Tulip/Julep/kitty with no name. Even if she isn't, transmission other than through a bite is pretty uncommon.

"You see? THAT's what they want. Love, and a bit with a dog."

Nora! Way to Swiffer!

Or is it Swiff?.....

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Toilet training a newborn just sounds weird.

That's all I've got so far today. I'm tired despite sleep, and my head hurts.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Toilet training a toddler is work enough. One of the plusses of infants is the portability. When they start walking, they're no longer as portable, and toilet training is sort of the tradeoff for that. To my way of thinking, anyway.

Erin, thinking lots of coping-ma at you till Friday. Also, what -t said about Gimlet being vaccinated. If she's been to the vet for her shots, she should be FeL-protected, and T/Jule/ip will be too, once she's had her shots. Actually, shots are a good idea whether they go outside or not. They can escape, or wander, and with most kitty diseases all it takes is a scrap and a bite to transfer.

Also, the head-hurty imps need to leave Buffistas alone.

Okay, Mom realized at 9pm she'd finished her last Pepsi, and I was a bad enough daughter to refuse to go out and get her more last night. I'm sure she never got a wink of sleep worrying about it, so I must go haul in a case or two to relieve her mind. After a run to the CU. Laters on.
