As someone who has never extensivly used an oven newer than one built in 1980, forgive my inquiry as to A. Why are your racks turned around and 2. are there advantages to the two ways?
Spike's Bitches 24: I'm Very Seldom Naughty.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Right now, the racks are backwards, so the "lip" that should be in the back is in the front, which makes it impossible to slide things out easily, since they have to go over the bump of the lip.
Did that make any sense to anyone but me?
Yes.
It makes sense, but why were they backwards in the first place? I got the impression it was backwards on purpose, so that's why the "huh?"
I have indeed encountered said lip.
I think I need sleep.
If you're not paying attention when you put them back in after washing, it's pretty trivial to get them in the wrong way round.
Washing, eh?
Well, if you don't cook or bake, not so much need to clean the related implements.
They were that way when I moved in. I keep meaning to change them, but then I never remember until I open the preheated oven door.
I use the oven quite frequently! Granted, the item being cooked is usually on a piece of foil, but still.
I just ended up taking a nap. And I had a really creepy dreams.
I've had trouble sleeping for the last several days and the ick factor has been increasing steadily. I really want this to stop. It's beginning to make insomnia look attractive.
