And Kaylee, what the hell's goin' on in the engine room? Were there monkeys? Some terrifying space monkeys maybe got loose?

Spike's Bitches 24: I'm Very Seldom Naughty.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Why isn't everyone pelting me with JOY, dammit? - Zenkitty

woohoo! very excited, just purchased a tiara for someone who is not me! Now to just start gathering a few other goodies to go with...

Yay! Fay Pay Day!

One day (I wanna say last week) somebody linked to some charmingly reasonably-priced subscriptions to Entertainment Weekly . I just discovered that mine has lapsed. Could somebody hook me up with the link? Thanks ever so.

Up with the sun

Yay! Fay got pay!

I am getting as headache behind my eyes, and I already took tylenol and it didn't do anything. Fun fun fun...

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

I would like to state, for the record, that dcp is my favoritest Buffista in the history of ever, today. I just talked to his cousin or stepcousin or half-cousin or whoever.

That position in Kansas City? It's for a brand new department. The only position they're lacking, the only external hire, is a medical writer. It hasn't even been posted yet.

She just had lunch with the VP of the department, who "loves [my] qualifications" and is incredibly interested. My pharmacology knowledge is icing on the cake.

My revised, sexier résumé is going to be making the rounds now, and they'll have my phone number.

Buffista networking rawks.

What is even happening?

P-C, that's great, and dcp, you do rock, and are so good to do such a kindness for a Buffista.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Oh, wonderful! Great good luck, P-C.

dcp clearly rocks.

I can't even.

HMOG, I am ready for this workday to be over. I'm waiting for a signature on something and feeling annoyed at a cow-orker for his (unrelated) incompetence, but otherwise, I got nothing. I had a really nice thai lunch with a friend, but now I'm hungry and undercaffeinated, even though I had an iced coffee with a shot of espresso after lunch (my friend also had one, and the woman charged us $3.01 - for both. In what world today does an iced coffee with an espresso shot cost $1.505?)

ION, it looks like I may be in San Francisco for a few days in early August. My folks will have family from Scotland visiting them in Calgary for a couple of weeks, and my sister thought it would be cool if the whole bunch of us could go to SF for a few days (as a couple of the airlines are selling cheap seats as a promotion). So, the recommendations for good hotels in SF that happened in F2F is very timely for me, and I could use a few more. I'll essentially be flying from Toronto to Calgary, hanging around in the airport to fly to SFO, then doing the reverse on the way back, which is kind of a weird way to visit your relatives from Scotland, but hey, it works for me.

Woohoo P-C and dcp, who both, in their separate ways, rock!

"You see? THAT's what they want. Love, and a bit with a dog."

dcp, most excellent of you! Best of luck, P-C!

Cleaning house can be both liberating and addictive. I'm working on my mountain of laundry, and came across a shirt for the Goodwill pile. So I say to myself, great, now go to the closet and get five more things RIGHT NOW. Really, once you put it in that bag you'll never even remember you had it.

The key is really doing this BEFORE I get home, otherwise I hear the piteous cries of my mother "Oh, you're giving that away? I got it for you, I didn't know you didn't like it!" It breaks my heart and I keep it forever.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

For hotels, try travelocity/expedia etc. They frequently have very nice deals.

Also, let us know if you have free time to play. It sounds like you might not, but if you do, I bet something could be arranged.

Sure I went over to the Dark Side, but just to pick up a few things.

Good luck, P-C! (and yay for dcp)
