I swear, the next paychecks, I am cashing, and sticking the money in a coffeecan. It'll be safer and easier.
I did this for a year or so. Actually, I used a jewelry box (one of those hinged boxes jewelry comes in) instead of a coffee can. And envelopes for the various recurring bills, so I could put all my rent money in one envelope, and utilities in another (as I accumulated the cash, of course). Probably the most on top of my finances I've ever been.
Sorry about the headache.
Go Fay!
humming "Take This Job and Shove It" to Evil Boss.(Which is, foreign as a foreign thing to Ms. Jay, probably...I just realised{British realization British spelling} but is something of an anthem of my childhood)
-t, I may do that. I am so tired of fucking myself over with my own ineptitude.
If you can keep the checking account open with a small amount in it, Erin, do. I spent a lot on check cashing fees.
I did the envelopes for different bills, an envelope for fun, one for groceries. It worked quite well. The only time it was a pain was when I had to write a check for something, so I second the motion to keep the checking account open with a minimum balance in case of need.
Yay for Fay Pay. Boo for any that is still witheld, and (if practical obstacles don't prevent it which they probably will) still want you to sue the bastard if you don't get every dime.
woohoo! very excited, just purchased a tiara for someone who is not me! Now to just start gathering a few other goodies to go with...
Yay! Fay Pay Day!
One day (I wanna say last week) somebody linked to some charmingly reasonably-priced subscriptions to
Entertainment Weekly
. I just discovered that mine has lapsed. Could somebody hook me up with the link? Thanks ever so.
Yay! Fay got pay!
I am getting as headache behind my eyes, and I already took tylenol and it didn't do anything. Fun fun fun...
I would like to state, for the record, that dcp is my favoritest Buffista in the history of ever, today. I just talked to his cousin or stepcousin or half-cousin or whoever.
That position in Kansas City? It's for a brand new department. The only position they're lacking, the only external hire, is a medical writer. It hasn't even been posted yet.
She just had lunch with the VP of the department, who "loves [my] qualifications" and is incredibly interested. My pharmacology knowledge is icing on the cake.
My revised, sexier résumé is going to be making the rounds now, and they'll have my phone number.
Buffista networking rawks.
P-C, that's great, and dcp, you do rock, and are so good to do such a kindness for a Buffista.
