Doesn't winter seem more like archiving season?

Spike's Bitches 24: I'm Very Seldom Naughty.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

He's probably not interested in your housekeeping skills. IJS.

True. Also, I think I just kinda want to be in control of when I come and go, you know. I don't want to be a hostess.

Bleargh. It's academic at this point, I think. This is two nights ina row he's waked me, drunk-dialing, and I'm gonna have to put my foot down.

Must get mail now. This is the hardest task of my day...and it takes 5 minutes.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

Tep, I lurve the hair.

Hec, your friend and his famous girlfriend are doing well at this whole card-shark thing: [link]

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Mmm, pomegranate juice. That does sound good.

I find myself really wanting a drink lately. I'm really looking forward to the traditional mimosas of Breakfast at Wimbledon this weekend.

I also started bemoaning how the work week is just too damn long on Tuesday morning. These could be related in some way.

(eta: Erin, I think you have my job. Only my office mate gets the mail, I just cover her phones while she's gone)

Now tagless for your comfort.

This is a good point--throwing someone out afterwards is probably not as easy as it sounds.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

the shorter my hair, the larger my eyes seem

This is a common effect. But it helps to have pretty eyes to start with. (see, Cashmere)

Well, we can't all have such gorgeous Cashmere eyes. Would that it were so.

Mail done. And now, I have nothing to do but answer phones till 4:30.

Could be worse, I know. But I like to complain.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

Steph, your hair looks great! and your eyes look sort of sleepy and sexy, more so than usual.

I also am getting my hair cut - a trim back to the usual length. It's been really humid here, so it's curlier than usual.

And - I don't know if this is for real, but if it is, I LOVE it:

re the recent decision.

What is even happening?

I love the irony re Souter, but the decision itself has the potential to cause a lot of problems for tax exempt non-profits.

"Fuck Western ideologically-motivated gender identification!" Sulu gasped, and came.

Having MET your flatmate, Fay, I have to say were I to guess which of you was some form of queer, it would likely have been her, and NSM you, so....(no point there really, but yeah)

Wordy McWord. She does ping the old gaydar quite often, and it was when he was shaking her hand (having shaken my hand already and done the 'goodbye Fay' thing in a surprisingly unoffensive fashion) that he did the whole hint hint nudge nudge wink wink dyke dyke thing. Bless her. (She's cut her hair short and spikey now - can't remember if that happened after you left? I think the back needs shaving, but it looks SO much better. I'm tempted to start calling her Angel. Or at least Peaches.

Anyway, in other news: WE GOT PAID!!!

And, okay, so they basically are only paying us for 2 months, but that was pretty much what I expected. And there's a distinct possibility that I'll get my flight money too, insh'allah, which is better than I was braced for. So all in all, pretty damned happy, actually.
