I went with cable, although I had communication issues with the Comcast rep. Our conversation went something like:
Me: Hi! I just called to get cable and I'd like to add internet to that as well.
Guy: okay. I just need your information.
Me:blah blah. Also I have my own modem.
Guy: okay. You realize there's a $40 installation fee.
Me: what?? why??
Guy: We have to come out and install the software,etc.
Me: actually you don't. See, I use comcast as my ISP now, it's just under someone else's name. So I have all that.
Guy: I have to change your appointment, because the cable guy can't install the internet.
Me: I. have. MY OWN modem. Comcast is my ISP. You don't have to install anything.
Guy: so, you have the modem. and want to do a self install?
Me: YES!!!!! Does the guy still have to come out?
Guy: No, but we can't turn on the internet until the cable is turned on and the internet tech doesn't work after 5 so we have to change your appt if you want them both on the same day.
Me: Can I get the internet turned on Friday?
Guy: You can do that and your appointment for turning on the cable won't change. But you won't have internet access until after the ticket is closed. You'll have to call back after it's closed.
Me: I'll call back on Friday.
Hopefully I won't have to repeat this on Friday.
And now I feel badly, because Emily just left for work, and I think she thinks I'm mad at her. And now I'm not going to talk to her till after my observation at the school tonight. So, I've got that hanging over me.
I am sure it will be OK.
What a yucky Monday though! But, margaritas tomorrow!

Classic conversation with the cable company, askye. It took us three or four phone calls to get our services (tv, phone, and internet) transferred. We'll find out tomorrow if it worked.

Annabel really needs a haircut, since her hair is getting in her eyes. But I keep hoping it'll get enough heft and length to work in some style other than the Brutus soon, because I don't really want to give her bangs.
I just ordered some Chinese food. I shouldn't spend the money, but I need something today. And that sounded good. So there. Or something.

Susan, I'm glad to hear that the wedding went well on Saturday. I hope you realize that it did so in large part because of the back-breaking, mind-boggling work you put into it.
I am in favor of not cutting a kid's hair until absolutely necessary -- somehow a haircut makes them stop looking like a baby and starts them looking like a kid to me.
Ooh, I might like the bat more than the spider web.
I think I was hungry. I just scarfed down an entire order of sweet and sour chicken all by myself. Good grief!
