Book: Yes, I'd forgotten you're moonlighting as a criminal mastermind now. Got your next heist planned? Simon: No. But I'm thinking about growing a big black mustache. I'm a traditionalist.

'War Stories'

Spike's Bitches 24: I'm Very Seldom Naughty.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Go, P-C, it's your job-finding day! Or something to that effect ;-)

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

That's great news, P-C! The job~ma is strong in you, young padawan.

Ah, those happy days when the circle of life unexpectedly closes in on you.

In happy news, the boyfriend of a girl on my team just strolled in, thoughtfully wearing a muscle shirt that shows off one reason she's interested in him. Mmm, shoulders.

Thrive to spite them

Oh! At the History/Natural Science museum they have an exhibit of the history of wedding gowns. I saw some of the pictures in the paper and the gowns are stunning. I'll try and see if pictures are allowed.

"You see? THAT's what they want. Love, and a bit with a dog."

Goddamn my slovenly ways!

In cleaning out my trunk, I just came across a cardboard box of just about everything I've wanted in the past year that my mother must have bought for me and packed. A year ago. Brand new knives, a set of silverware, salt, vanilla extract, oregano, the dishtowels that work good, an oven mitt, a good pair of kitchen scissors, and heart breaks a ceramic ice cream bowl and spoon set. All found just in time to move home.

I suck! (But at least now I'm enjoying my Ben and Jerry's Magic Brownies ice cream with a ceramic spoon.)

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

Job hunt question: Since I've been looking for a job for nearly a year now, would it be a good idea for me to ping my references just to say "Hi! Moved to a different state and looking for a job there!"

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

I would say so, Anne. Most places I've seen only keep your files on hand for six months, and it's possible that in your initial search, they might have only considered you for positions in your state, and they have no way of knowing that you're now looking for positions in another.

What is even happening?

Anne, I think it is a good idea.

Has anyone heard from Nora or Tom? What time was their closing?
