I'm sorry this is being so rough on you. I hope that you're able to find something that is a good fit soon.
Ditto. Unfortunately, one of my reactions when under constant stress like this is to retreat into inaction. Not helpful in the least. Plus, this has put me into a decent-sized depression, which makes me feel as if there's
nothing
I want to do, work-wise. Also not a good motivator for the job hunt.
The crochet book sounds really interesting! I need to pick up the crafty stuff again sometime soon, I think. I owe a number of people some finished items, and am more than a few months behind.
Let me make sure that I have your correct email, and I'll send you my number.
Good morning....
Tomato Nation's The Vine has some commentary on the fine-hair issue - here [link] and here [link]
Personally, I have fine, wavy, thick hair, so I wash every other day. If I go longer than that, the oil from my scalp goes out of control. I also have short hair, so I use a lot of product and happily have my hair all spiky. Lastly, I have my hairdresser thin out my hair a lot every time I go to her. It keeps this mop manageable.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, EPICTANGENT!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, TIGGY!

This is me too.
Waiting to go to Salem and buy a house...
Happy birthday Epic and tiggy!

Anne is me. Best wishes, Anne. I hope something wonderful comes along soon.
Happy Birthday wishes to tiggy and EpicT! I hope you both have a wonderful day!
sj, glad to hear that your dinner party was a success! Wish I could've been there. The menu sounded delicious and same for the guest list.
Timelies!
I wish you could have been here too, Nicole, but I usually do wish you could be here.
I hope something wonderful comes along soon.
Me too, but I have to go find it. I can't just sit back and wait for it to find me, as nice as that would be.
Now, to make a
manageable
to-do list for the day. Two things on there include going to the library to look things up in the Occupational Outlook Handbook (ideas, plus salary ranges), and sitting down and giving my resume a thorough going-over.
vw, received.

Yeah, I know. I also know how hard it can be to do that. Much motivation~ma to you.
Happy Birthday, EpicTangent!
Happy Birthday, tiggy!
(I put you in alphabetical order, to be fair.)
There is NO way I could skip a day washing my hair. You people who *do* skip -- don't you sweat?!? If I were vaguely clean and hadn't been all sweaty the day before (from exercising/general summer weather), I could maybe not wash my hair, if I knew I wasn't leaving the house and wasn't going to see people.
But if I skip even one day, about halfway through that first day of not-washing, my hair does that thing that Rio mentioned hers does after FOUR days -- I can just sort of pull it wherever I want it and it stays.
And -- not washing my hair makes me feel soooooooooo nasty.
