That's my girl, large and in-charge. Okay, teensy-weensy and in charge.

Spike's Bitches 24: I'm Very Seldom Naughty.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

brillig

You know, I feel surprisingly good for having only gotten three hours of sleep spread over two increments of real sleep last night. I do not like this insomnia thing. It's new and off-putting.

That's really fabulous news, Susan. (Quick! Tell him to buy a lottery ticket!)

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Great news, Susan!

Hil, have a wonderful trip!

I made the salad dressing and the chocolate covered fruit so far. I should have done some of this last night.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

Have a great (and safe) trip, Hil.

Great news, Susan.

Lilty, it's hard to say how much you'll spend, but it's pretty easy to economize on everything except housing. The "Let's Go" guides are pretty good for spotting less expensive options. What I usually do is eat a big breakfast if I'm staying in a bed and breakfast, and get lunch and sometimes dinner at grocery stores and bakeries. It's really very entertaining, since groceries are different. In England, for example, I was eating currant and hazelnut yogurt. In Prague and Munich, we happened onto Saturday farmers' markets and got prepared food and fruit.

You do know that the best way to "exchange" money is to just use the ATMs in Europe. It's so much simpler and the rate is almost always as good or better than you can get at a bank.
